12 Critical Events That Are Going To Happen Over A 40 Day Period From August 21st To September 30th

We are about to witness an extremely unusual convergence of events that many believe could represent a major turning point for our nation. By now you have probably heard that on August 21st a total solar eclipse will move across the entire continental United States for the first time in decades. In fact, we have not seen a total solar eclipse cross from the west coast to the east coast in 99 years. And it will be the very first total solar eclipse that is only visible in this country since the United States first became a nation. Starting with that event, there is going to be a whole lot going on until we reach the end of September. The following are 12 critical events that are going to happen over a 40 day period from August 21st to September 30th…

August 21 – The “Great American Eclipse” will sweep across portions of Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Seven years later, another very unusual total solar eclipse will move across our nation, and when you plot the paths of both eclipses on a map, they form a giant “X” right over the center of the United States.

August 23 – A FEMA exercise known as “EarthEX2017” will simulate “catastrophes such as mega earthquakes, cyber terrorism or high altitude electromagnetic pulse attacks”…

Twelve totally unrelated non-events.

It seems to me they are making a big deal out of something that needn’t be that big a deal. We are in a good viewing area here in Nebraska & they are saying all this stuff like the motels are way overpriced, filled up, people likely to come in by the thousands,it could be a major disaster,etc.,etc. The whole thing will most likely come & go in the matter of a few minutes as far as the major part of the eclipse. The other things they are warning about are a matter of conjecture at this point. If it happens that there any disastrous effects,a lot of people are going to be a long ways from home & probably very anxious to get back. That alone could create a lot of problems.

I’m sure the Congressional DemoncRATS will be doing as much disrupting as they can on the 29/30 with those events.

The main concern in our town is that it’s a relatively crime free town. We have some minor crime but not much major crime. They are worried about all the outsiders showing up and causing problems other than just traffic issues. They are warning locals that if it’s crowded that it’s better if they watch the eclipse from home. LOL Several places are holding events that day but I’m staying home. I have my glasses and I’m ready.

September 30 – If Congress does not pass a budget by the end of this day, there will be a government shutdown just like we witnessed in 2013

No, not at all like 2013. Obama hyped that "shutdown" by closing open-air national attractions, effectively SPENDING money that otherwise would never be spent, in order to make things hurt real Americans. I don't expect DJT will make a big deal of non government.

If you add 60 to the nearest interstate highway number, subtract 3 divide by 3.78964344 and the multiply by 1.964457788 you get your age.

August 21 – The “Great American Eclipse”

Will be the end of the world so any prediction after that date is obviously bogus...........

Any believer out there willing to sell me their Porsche or Cadillac for $10?

Saw one in the ‘60s - no need to go nuts to get someplace for ‘optimal viewing” again.

I’m looking forward to it because I’ve never seen one but I’m not looking forward to the crowds.

It is interesting if you've never experienced one.

More of a loner myself (sociopath?) so I really hate crowds.

Didn't know why too many people in one place wore me out until we did Meyers-Briggs testing in the AF and found out I'm "borderline introvert".

Hope your area doesn't get too many nutcase crowds for the event. I'm on the MS Gulf Coast so we only get a partial. The one I experienced was as a child in Rochester, NY. Used a arc-welder hood that Dad had to take a few peeks.

I’m exactly the same way. I prefer to do most things alone. I even ride miles of wooded trails alone on my mountain bike unless my sister is in town to ride with me. My husband always says “take your gun”. LOL Crowds make we break out in a sweat, hyperventilate, and get physically ill sometimes. I can handle a few people at a time but a crowd scares me spitless. I have always been that way and do not like to be around strangers. That’s why the small town rural farm environment is perfect for me. I feel safer back in the woods on my bike than I do in a crowd. It’s nice to meet somebody else with that affliction. :-) I think that’s why I prefer online socialization like in here and on Facebook.

I was fine at work and I was even in leadership but I started at that company not too long after it started so I knew everybody. I think that’s why I stayed for almost 40 years. I don’t mind change as long as it’s not being around a lot of new people.

I’m looking forward to the eclipse but we have a slight chance of rain that day. I hope we still get to see it though.

<No, we’re not all going to die. But we will all lose our internet connection and cell service.

Might as well be dead.

What do believe will happen? Is Athens supposed to be the best place to see it? Got a friend near Johnson City. Will that be a good place?

Gotta check my doctors’ appointments for a few days before and a few days after. Where do I want do be if I’m going to be stuck somewhere? May load up my truck with my protection “tools” and all the freeze dried food and boogie.

Johnson City is close. Athens, Sweetwater, Knoxville, Niota, Cleveland and others are in the direct line.
