EXCLUSIVE – Congressional Expert: North Korea Prepping EMP Catastrophe Aimed At U.S. Homefront
Breitbart ^ | May 8, 2017 | Aaron Klein

On April 30, South Korean officials told The Korea Times and YTN TV that North Korea’s test of a medium-range missile on April 29 was not a failure, as widely reported in the world press, because it was deliberately detonated at 72 kilometers altitude. 72 kilometers is the optimum burst height for a 10-Kt warhead making an EMP attack. …

According to South Korean officials, “It’s believed the explosion was a test to develop a nuclear weapon different from existing ones.” Japan’s Tetsuro Kosaka writes in Nikkei, “Pyongyang could be saying, ‘We could launch an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack if things get really ugly.'”

“The April 29 missile launch looks suspiciously like practice for an EMP attack,” Pry wrote. “The missile was fired on a lofted trajectory, to maximize, not range, but climbing to high-altitude as quickly as possible, where it was successfully fused and detonated — testing everything but an actual nuclear warhead.”

This weekend, an editorial published in the North Korean state-run media agency KNCA threatened the White House would be “reduced to ashes.”

The same news agency warned last week that “any military provocation against the DPRK will precisely mean a total war which will lead to the final doom of the US.” DPRK stands for the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, or North Korea.

Seems to me to be the way to go. USA is open to EMP and woiuld be destroyed, thanks to the Deep State and 16 years where self defense was shelved in favor of do nothing

If they take a ship and they outfit to launch a missile with a nuke straight up or on an incline from the Gulf Of Mehico, it could be a reality.

It COULD be a reality, is what i am saying...COULD BE

Why would anybody call this “a joke.” EMP would be the “best” way to go for the Koreans or Iranians. USA is Obamacized for total defeat.

They would still need diesel to charge the batteries and get to our west coast wouldn’t they.

The people who say North Korea would never hit us with an EMP pulse sound a lot like the people who thought that Japan would never hit Pearl Harbor.

You might want to educate yourself before you embarrass the site further.

Hard to believe considering how many missile launch disasters NK has had.

How could they manage to launch a satellite, much less 2, and have them armed?

Most likely, the US military and intelligence community have those satellites in their sights at all times.

Not sure how electrics run and not looking it up, but, yes, i think so. But they don’t have to surface to run engines to recharge batteries.

If the US “saw” such a sub, they would not kill it; they would “escort” it, and then it would so whatever it was sent to do anyway, is what i think.

Some Navy guy out there? Input pleeze?

Pretty sure electrons have been important in every phase of our world and the universe.

Absolute bullshit. There are no new nuclear weapons designs. Physics has seen to that. What the USA (and Russia) has (or can prepare if needed) are the the most advanced designs. (By the way, did you know our arsenal still uses vacuum tubes? It’s all out there for public consumption, but something I disovered recently and thought was pretty cool.)

YES!

We just depend on them more nowadays.

Or, back in the day, we didn't know we depended as much as we did.

Maybe you can explain how we have had hundreds of nuclear tests without anything more than some very weak EMP effects on occasion. Do you think NK have magical technology?

I don’t think its likely now. It is more likely down the road.

I doubt a bet wetting Communist shill would advocate launching a nuclear first strike against a communist country to prevent it from launching an EMP attack.

I’m opposed to launching a preemptive nuclear strike, and I’m surprised you would be in favor of such. We can remove Mr. Kim with a combination of conventional strikes and diplomacy.

Because much greater EMP is generated from a higher altitude burst that is able to interact with the Earth’s magnetic field... more so for the E1 and E3 components of EMP I believe, than the E2 component.
