It is the worst for the poor. It’s harder to stay poor in the USA than most places.
Here, it’s too easy to not be poor. In the USA you have a better chance of leaving poverty than just about anywhere in the world.

I agree, but you don't have to go there physically. You can go on YouTube; there are countless videos about India and Brazil, that show ordinary life there. China not so much, because you can get in trouble if you just go around shooting video.
I've watched many videos about Brazil. There are some that are made by young people who are just visiting there, or spending a school year there, that are very interesting.
The India videos are a real eye-opener.
I saw one where they show a skyscraper — maybe 25 stories high &mdash that's owned by a software billionaire in Mumbai. It's his private residence. It's just for his family. It has several swimming pools on different floors, but is surrounded by slums.
It includes a garage for dozens of luxury cars.

I adore Indian cuisine and certain aspects of their culture - it must be my long-ago English imperialist genes! I watch Indian films (non-Bollywood) movies all the time. And now that I live in the largest Indian immigrant population in America, I can go to Hindu stores and buy gorgeous knick-knacks and cheap spices until I’m exhausted. I also live near two amazing Chinese grocery stores and buy exotic produce and poultry and meat. I’ve never been drawn to South America for some reason. Don’t know why.
That said, Bernie is a miserable creep of a man who hates Lady America but treats her like a cheap whore.
A friend and I were talking about this the other day. People here have all of those things, a roof over their heads, food to eat, clothes to wear, and family/friends to love. Even in the back woods of nowhere, people have satellite dishes, etc. This country does not know what poor is.
