FREUDENSCHADE, BABY!!! Perhaps the ultimate Freudenschade.
Well, DUmmieland is now DOWN ever since their Election Day Disaster. They are BLAMING a hacker but I don't buy it. More than likely it is just a complete mental meltdown there especially since Skinner is in a state of grief over the loss of his Clinton Cash flow. Only paying Star Members are now allowed over the DUmmieland Wall. Fortunately, a Conservative Cave mole is a Star Member and is sending back reports from DUmmieland in extreme grief. One of his reports comes to us from just a day before the election with this bit of extreme Freudenschade GLOATING by DUmmie TheMastersNemesis.
As Rush Limbaugh once said, when the Left loses power they are funny. And when the DUmmies lose power they are absolutely HILARIOUS. When DUmmieland is back up and running again, I shall return to chronicling their grief striken HILARITY on a more regular basis but in the meantime, enjoy DUmmie TheMastersNemesis Freudenschade gloat just before the election. Nothing wrong with “druthers”. In fact, it’s the theme of a song in Broadway’s Li’l Abner. But you can’t deny that down here between our idioms and our speech conversation with those from up North becomes a challenge. In fact, the story goes that when NFL QB Jake Delhomme (from Beaux Bridge, La.) went to play for Carolina his patois almost needed a translator to make himself understood in the huddles.
Personally, I see our verbal idiosyncrasies as a way of “outing” the occasional visitor from the North, much like Catholics in church who suddenly kneel leaving the Protestant visitors standing...

If you visit, number 1 rule; don’t try to blend in by overusing “y’all”. It’s a dead giveaway...
I have a mechanism that causes me to eventually appropriate a drawl when I hang around people with an accent for any length of time. I imagine it’s annoying, but it is unconscious.

One of my all time favorite books. I was in bed, the first time I read it, and was laughing so hard I had to sit up or choke. She nails it but I love the south and southerners.
I don’t believe I’ve ever used the term, except for when making fun of the over the top Fargo type parodies of Minnesotans.
While in college I “gave away” 3 copies to fellow classmates from the North who were having problems acclimating to the land of Scarlett and Rhett. Actually, I loaned them out and never saw them again.
