Conquistador Trump

In accepting the invitation of President Enrique Pena Nieto to fly to Mexico City, the Donald was taking a major risk.

Yet it was a bold and decisive move, and it paid off in what was the best day of Donald Trump’s campaign.

Standing beside Nieto, graciously complimenting him and speaking warmly of Mexico and its people, Trump looked like a president. And the Mexican president treated him like one, even as Trump restated the basic elements of his immigration policy, including the border wall.

The gnashing of teeth up at the New York Times testifies to Trump’s triumph:

“Mr. Trump has spent his entire campaign painting Mexico as a nation of rapists, drug smugglers, and trade hustlers. … But instead of chastising Mr. Trump, Mr. Pena Nieto treated him like a visiting head of state … with side-by-side lecterns and words of deferential mush.”

As I wrote in August, Trump “must convince the nation … he is an acceptable, indeed, a preferable alternative” to Hillary Clinton, whom the nation does not want....

Loves the Mexican demand for an apology.

Nope. Let’s re-state the issue, clearly, firmly, respectfully and consistently. As a country, WE HAVE THE RIGHT to decide who we allow to enter our country, just as Mexico enjoys that same right.

No apologies; as every word he said was the truth.

But, but, but Fox Newless reports that the main take away from yesterday was the very unpresidential “boastful tone” of his speech.

Fox Newsless has two camps: All in for Hillary and Trump is Unqualified. There may be an exception or two besides Hannity but I couldn’t name them.

My Fox-Time these days is limited to a fast forward through the Bret Baier show to the panel and then 2 or 3 minutes checking to see if they are still pushing their anti-Trump Themes. That’s all the time it takes.

The advantage of this is that I get more Freeper-Time while plowing through a long but pretty good book: Quincunx by Charles Pallister.

Hillary's New York Times SuperPAC shows that it supports a government that flouts its own laws.

This is why the Times is supporting Hillary Clinton, who will break any law she feels like if she is elected.

Entities as powerful as the New York Times have a higher standard. When they advocate lawlessness at the governmental level, it should be THEY that are declared "outlawed", in the old-fashioned sense of the word, by ordinary citizens.

Imagine Trump saying, I respect Mexico so much that I will propose that the United States of America adopts Mexico’s Humanitarian Immigration Laws.

‘Trump’s “core issue” might be called Americanism.

‘Whatever the outcome of this election, these concerns are not going away. For they have arisen out of a deeply dissatisfied and angry electorate that is alienated from the elites of both parties.

He lost some of his Hispanic leaders today. They think he blind sided them in the immigration speech last night.

The tricky one was his insistence that Illegals here will have to leave and get to the back of the Line to become Legalized.

He did not say he would round up Illegals who are living here and who are Law Abiding. I think everyone is missing that, especially the Liberal whiners. They will not be allowed to become Legal Resident Aliens or eventual American Citizens unless they leave an reapply.

Best guess is they Register with the Government and receive something akin to a Work Permit. The long termers are already deeply rooted here and since we allow Anchor Babies it would be a difficult task to just Deport them.

Besides, outside of getting rid of Criminal Aliens which is covered (but not enforced) under current Immigration Law, the rigged Courts which is chock full of Activist Judges would simply block mass Deportations before they could ever begin.

The thing is, nothing like that will happen until the Border is secure. You have to stop the leaks in the Boat before you continue the Journey.

Trump will bypass the Liberal Courts by establishing new Courts and filling them with Conservative Judges.....so fast it will make the regressive head spin right off.

Trump has vowed to get rid of the anchor baby nonsense. That is a very key item, and he reiterated it just a couple weeks ago.

I’ve been tuning in to Fox Business channel more and more, especially Stuart Varney (comes on here at 6 a.m.) and Lou Dobbs (comes on here at 4 p.m.) - times are Pacific. Trish Regan is also good. Her show is on here at 11 a.m., which I haven’t watched much, but have seen her fill in for Cavuto and others. She was a moderator at one of the primary debates. All times above are Pacific.

I think your suggestion to move to Varney and Dobbs at Fox Business is good advice. And both should be added to the Very Short List of Fox News Trump Supporters. That would make 3 total along with Hannity.

I suspect that Charles Payne should be on that list as well. Maybe we have 4.
