Ryan and the rest of the GOP establishment have had absolutely nothing to say about the violence perpetrated against Trump supporters by Hillary Clinton's backers on the streets of Albuquerque, Anaheim, San Jose, San Diego and elsewhere. This political violence targets Republican voters, but as far as Conservatism Inc. is concerned, mum's the word. That is what it is for most of the Never Trumps. When Ryan went to the Mitt meeting in Utah I be he told everyone there that Trump was serious about the wall and illegal immigration. That is why they have gone berserk.
This makes me wonder how serious Cruz was about illegal immigration. They sure did not act this way about Ted.

Donald Trump will never be president. There is too much at stake. There are trillions of dollars at risk and if Trump is sincere thousands of very powerful people will be going to jail. They would rather destroy the U.S. than lose their power. Raul Ryan is looking for a way to stab him in the back. That is the type of people opposing him.

It's unfortunate that the term "intellectual" has been reduced to a pejorative form. Nonetheless, that is what it has become. So - at least in that regard - Trump does not qualify.
IMO, that is a good thing and, thus, separates him from the others. If he is unable to make significant headway, it will be because of the "electorate"ly tenured Congressional Intellectuals of the Uniparty.

i agree some what......but i think in the “olden” days, intellectuals still maintained a semblance of common sense... The ones i have met in later life were nothing but babies that never left academia....They just can’t relate to working class people.
