How Close Was Donald Trump To The Mob?
The Federalist ^ | 28 July 2015 | David Marcus

Donald Trump is running for president. Many believed or hoped that the Donald's latest foray into national politics was nothing more than a public-relations move,
not a serious attempt to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

But now that Trump holds the lead in national polls, as well as polls in Iowa and New Hampshire, it's time to take his campaign seriously. Media outlets like Huffington Post and the Wall Street Journal, which are covering Trump's run as an entertainment story, not a news story, are making a mistake. If Trump wants to be a serious candidate for president, and has the numbers to back it up, he must be vetted like a serious candidate for president.

A good place to start is to take a hard look at Trump's ties to Philadelphia and New York organized-crime families...

They are saving that for the August stampede to take out the R Nominee.

They are stoking their databases and video libraries as we speak.

Come August you will see every FBI/Justice Dept. file, record, photo of every interaction the Mouth of Manhattan has made with the Mob and crooked politicians.

Remember EVERYONE, the Clintons had Access for a decade of Thousands of Raw FBI Files to use against their adversaries.

Does ANYONE think for a minute the Donald’s file wasn’t kept somewhere very secluded from public eyes that the Clinton’s could pull out and use in the future?

HELLO America, this is the CLINTON crime Family we are talking about here.

Do you know that the Mafia has it’s roots in fascism as known in Roman times? The term Mob itself refers to the very mob that Julius Caesar bought and controlled.

I have no sources because I probably just made it up, but it sounds cool cause I think Trump is Like Julius Caesar in many ways.

I was just thinking the other day how cool it would be if the Italian Mafia went to war with the Islamic Mafia.

“He had to deal with the mob if he was going to have ANY improvements done on his properties, they owned all the contractor unions.”

Exactly the kind of guy we need if we hope to negotiate with the libs and GOPe.

Those claiming we won’t need to negotiate lack rational thought. There are far too many libs entrenched in positions of influence for any POTUS to accomplish much on their own.

I agreed with the ‘Trump is useful’ bit up until last weekend, when he turned on Cruz with lies and prog-like character assassination

He’s not playing even close to fair

Ask yourself this: How many politicians have had to deal with the mob? I’m betting the answer is “All of them”.

I can't possibly be the only one thinking this way

You are not the only one. Heat...kitchen.

We never got any vetting of Obama. Many were unhappy about it.

Trump is getting vetted. Some are unhappy

Ponder the connect / disconnect paradigm at work.

He's not playing even close to fair.

Fair? He's never played fair. He's always played by his own rules. As I say, sometimes that's good for the liberals. Sometimes that's good for the conservatives.

I don’t think he’s betting vetted at all, least of all by his followers

On the contrary, Trump supporters display little intellectual curiosity about anything that doesn’t fit his current campaign narrative, which they quite like.

Rather that perform their due diligence, most Trumpsters prefer to just go with what he tells them, and will make excuses for anything he’s ever said or done, very cult-like. And how can any decent person not be offended by the blatantly disingenuous attacks on Ted Cruz? I thought Trump’s recent behavior repulsive.

I guess because Obama got away with murder we don’t need to actively qualify any of our candidates anymore, that was too much work anyway.

“Why ask this question. Has he ever been prosecuted as a mobster?”

I’ll tell you why. Harry Reid has never been prosecuted as a mobster, but I wrote Reid’s only biography and I can tell you he is mobbed up, or dirty as sin. The problem is everyone is afraid.

So yes, Trump’s dealings with the mob are fair game.
