How Close Was Donald Trump To The Mob?
The Federalist ^ | 28 July 2015 | David Marcus

Donald Trump is running for president. Many believed or hoped that the Donald's latest foray into national politics was nothing more than a public-relations move,
not a serious attempt to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

But now that Trump holds the lead in national polls, as well as polls in Iowa and New Hampshire, it's time to take his campaign seriously. Media outlets like Huffington Post and the Wall Street Journal, which are covering Trump's run as an entertainment story, not a news story, are making a mistake. If Trump wants to be a serious candidate for president, and has the numbers to back it up, he must be vetted like a serious candidate for president.

A good place to start is to take a hard look at Trump's ties to Philadelphia and New York organized-crime families...

He was buying and developing real estate in New York before the families were busted up.

He had to deal with the mob if he was going to have ANY improvements done on his properties, they owned all the contractor unions.

Why ask this question. Has he ever been prosecuted as a mobster?

Come on people, this is getting silly and desperate.

I do know of a guy named Bill Clintonleone. He is married to a famous gun moll
.
You should check into them.

It is. As for mob connections, the only one who apparently has any is Rubio, his drug dealer brother-in-law presently living with his mother. This is the same one for whom he wrote that controversial endorsement on official stationary.

I'd vote for Al Capone over Hillary. Heck I'd campaign hard for John Dillinger!

The biggest organized crime rackets have been run by the Kennedys, Eric Holder, and Hillary.

Laggers in polling will be asking him where Hoffas body is.
They should be asking the Clinton Family Crime Syndicate.

I would counter that almost NO serious questions are being asked about this incredibly shifty and dubious man’s background... it’s just way too much like Obama 2008 for me.

And it doesn’t bother you how quickly Trump can turn on anybody -he used to be pretty chummy with the Clintons- I find it rather unsettling, not to mention his penchant for character assassination... is that really necessary in order for him to defeat Ted Cruz? If not, then why do it?

I can’t possibly be the only one thinking this way

Wow... a NY real estate and construction executive may have Mafia ties.

In other news, the world is round, and water is wet....

Let’s not vet Trump. Let’s not dig deeper on a guy who takes money from Soros, was pro-abortion, wants amnesty, is friends with Clintons, donated money to far-left democrats, gave the Clinton foundation $110k, wants gun control, wants ethanol subsidies, wants universal healthcare, accepts gay marriage, attacks conservatives, etc.
He may be a liberal conman but he is a GOP liberal conman who can win so let’s not dig any deeper into his past.

The guy has been in the public eye most of his adult life and has people that don't like him yet you think he hasn't been vetted.

I'm sure you also think the lack of disclosure of loans on the part of Ted Cruz were simply clerical errors and he is as pure as a baby lamb.

I have serious doubts about Donald Trump, but this article is beyond stupid.

Marcus is either seriously ill-informed or being deliberately disingenuous.

The "Mob Tax" was an inescapable cost of doing business (including, but not limited to, construction) in the 1970s, '80s and '90s.
