Political operatives aghast. No one else cares.
I’m finding myself engaged in a moronic exercise, and I should know better, but I’m still doing it. Every time the media gloms onto one of these Trump-is-doing-politics-wrong-and-it’s-going-to-cost-him stories, I wait for the inevitable result in which the whole issue either has no effect at all on Trump or, as seems more likely, actually helps him. That happens every time. That’s not the moronic part.
The moronic part is what I expect will happen next, which is that the political media finally, at long last, smacks itself in the forehead and says, Holy crap, these stories are idiotic because a) no one cares; and b) Trump not only defies political conventional wisdom on just about every score, but he’s proving to other candidates that they don’t need to follow them either, thus rendering the whole Trump’s-not-following-the-rules huffing and puffing self-evidently absurd. And they will stop doing the stories.
I should hope so!

Yankee catcher Thurman Munson did the same thing, and it didn’t work out for him. Trump has a considerably more serious plane, however, and has a professional pilot to fly it.
This Cruz supporter doesn’t care where Trump sleeps. When I first saw a similar headline, I thought that maybe he wanted his “own bed”, as in separate from Melania, like some royals do. When I found that he just commutes home like I did when I commuted 100 miles each way from Madison to northern Illinois each day, I could only shrug.
If you had a wife like his waiting for you, you would fly home too!

Much as I despise the man, I don’t hold against him his not wanting to sleep with Her Heinous. :-)
Makes no difference to me. He is a free man in a free country. He can sleep where ever he has the desire.
I don’t like Trump, but this isn’t a big deal to me.
