Given the times we are in and the abilities that we have, I am curious if others do as I do and record certain End-of-Year data for comparison from yer to year. Some of the obvious ones are personal like weight and miles run/cycled. Others are more business-like, say car odometer for business miles use, Electric Meter reading for year usage. Watching the change in net worth can be good or depressing but attention needs to be paid!
I had a ball drop once.
I went from 430 to 330 pretty quickly, but have been ABSURDLY content with that for 4 months now.
Like it’s a GOOD weight and the job is done.
Time to change that insane attitude.
Nothing. If it wasn’t already written down or known, no point in doing so now. Life is too short. Besides, for me, tomorrow is my birthday, which further emphasizes this as I become a year older. Depressing if I have to start writing things down.
Weight
Blood sugar
body fat %
fastest mile
max bench
max deadlift
maximum weight for reps 50 lb kettlebell
max # pushups in 2 minutes
max one rep standing curl (w/cheat) :-)
I watched 134 movies in 2015.
Impressive!
Nothing. The moving hand, having written, moves on. The year is over, anything important I’ll remember on my own. I’m in no competitions, especially not with myself.
I haven’t watched anywhere close to 134 in my entire life. I’d say about 50 — little less than one per year on average, none in recent years.
Thanks.
54 year old geezer, my goal is to toss a caber and run a half marathon by my 60th.
At the end of the year, today, the University of Houston Cougars beat the Florida State Seminoles. Go COOGS !
I wouldn’t but my wife loves movies and TV. Many in the list I’d seen before but I kept track.
Doubled my salary. Took my parents on the best vacation they ever had, according to them.
I used to write down where I parked my car keys, ah, youth!
My blood alcohol content. Officer.
“say car odometer for business miles use”
Thanks for the reminder!
As one who has always had weight problems, I do STRONGLY feel for you, it is a very hard row to hoe! You have the correct thought here! Hoping that 2016 brings further reward for your effort!!!
