What Stinks in Saudi Ain’t the Camel Dung

In recent weeks one nation after another is falling over themselves, literally, to join the turkey shoot known, erroneously, as the war in Syria, ostensibly against the Islamic State or Daesh. The most wanted but most feared question is where will this war frenzy lead, and how can it be stopped short of dragging the entire planet into a world war of destruction?

On September 30, responding to a formal invitation or plea from the duly-elected President of the Syrian Arab Republic, the Russian Federation began what was an initially highly effective bombing campaign in support of the Syrian Government Army.

What stinks in Saudi Arabia ain't the camel dung. It's the monarchy of King Salman and his hot-headed son, Prince Salman. For decades they have financed terrorism under a fake religious disguise, to advance their private plutocratic agenda. It has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with money and oil. A look at the ISIS map from Iraq to Syria shows that they precisely targeted the oil riches of those two sovereign states. Saudi control of that oil wealth via their ISIS agents, along with her clear plan to take out the US shale oil competition, or so Riyadh reckons, would make the Saudi monarchy a vastly richer state, one, perhaps because of that money, finally respected by white western rich men and their society. That is clearly bovine thinking.

Don't bet on that Salman.

F. William Engdahl is strategic risk consultant and lecturer, he holds a degree in politics from Princeton University and is a best-selling author on oil and geopolitics, exclusively for the online magazine "New Eastern Outlook".

Syria is not a major oil producer, and S.A.s biggest competitor in the world oil market is Russia. Shutting down U.S. fracking is just gravy.

William Engdahl is one of my favorite writers, especially on geo-politics. He wrote a great book called “A Hundred Years of War” on how all the wars since (and including WW1) were over oil.

He used to be a sought after oil consultant and he was told by the head of OPEC in the 70s that oil is abiotic. It’s created in the mantle, and very little is created from fossils. [For more on this: read the commemnts at http://www.amazon.com/Deep-Hot-Biosphere-Fossil-Fuels/dp/0387952535/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449981036&sr=8-1&keywords=deep+hot+biosphere]

In addition to Saudi Arabia interfering in our Presidential election, they are crashing oil prices to put US shale oil companies out of business. And now they are trying to get us into a major war in the ME in order for them to take over Iran (imo).

Do you have anything about what Engdahl thinks about sapping and impurifying our precious bodily fluids?

I’m going to check out this Engdahl’s credentials, Engdahl like Bergdahl, and sounds like he said Israel is helping support ISIS.

Which firmly puts this guy in nutball territory, oh, yeah, Syria’s duly elected president, a family dynasty and oh, year, the war is going successfully, that is why Iran is drawing down troops there.

There is a streak of anti-semitism in a lot of Putinistas.

Agreed, very dubious, more like the kind of things one might read at counterpunch or other such websites.

Engdahl accuses Israel of supporting ISIS and then, cites Iranian news as a source. http://journal-neo.org/2015/11/25/israeli-colonel-caught-with-is-pants-down/

Thanks for the information.

I tend to agree with the theory of abiotic origin of oil. It makes much more sense than oil having been squeezed from organic matter, which slow, open air - or underwater, decay would have destroyed - unless huge volumes of organic matter had been somehow been concentrated and folded into very large and sealed pockets, the currently accepted theory just doesn’t seem plausible, IMO.

I actually looked up the definition of “dubious.” You are being too kind—and you need not look up my term, BS.

Yeah, that and the largest oil well in the world is the Gwahir (sp?) oil well in Saudi Arabia. Its a 19 sq mile cube. A lot of dinos must have gone there to die.

Methane is released in deep hot vents in the ocean, from volcanoes, and can be found on many planets and moons in our solar system. Natural Gas is 95.2% methane. The rest is propane and ethane, mostly. Those 2 have been detected on other planets as well. Petroleum is liquid nat gas and coal the solid. Col L Fletcher Prouty (JFK’s administration) laughed when people told him gas was a fossil fuel.

Plate techtonics hold mysteries, but we should just drill and pump until we know for sure.

Yup, and perhaps impacts with resulting massive flows of water would tend to rip organic matter up and redeposit it in concentrated pockets. There’s plenty we just don’t know.
