Yeah, that and the largest oil well in the world is the Gwahir (sp?) oil well in Saudi Arabia. Its a 19 sq mile cube. A lot of dinos must have gone there to die.
Methane is released in deep hot vents in the ocean, from volcanoes, and can be found on many planets and moons in our solar system. Natural Gas is 95.2% methane. The rest is propane and ethane, mostly. Those 2 have been detected on other planets as well. Petroleum is liquid nat gas and coal the solid. Col L Fletcher Prouty (JFK’s administration) laughed when people told him gas was a fossil fuel.
