Hold fast, governors, and do the job of protecting the American people that our federal government refuses to do!
Something amazing seems to be in the process of happeningâa majority of the governors of our states appear to be finding the courage to stand up to the federal government and Obamaâs plan to resettle terrorists disguised as ârefugeesâ all across the country. For decades, state governments have been so cowed by the federal government that time and time again, they acquiesce to any and all unconstitutional actions forced upon them by the federal government, no matter how excessive or ridiculous. However, the remarkably stupid decision by the Obama administration to proceed with its Syrian ârefugeeâ resettlement plans, even in light of last weekendâs terrorist attack in Paris, has finally forced the hand of conscientious governors who have been tasked with the duty to protect and do what is best for the citizens of their respective states. As of this writing, the governors of 27 states have stood up and said, âNo moreâ to this Trojan horse assault on American safety.
Personally I’d very much like to see any governor who is jumping up and down about Syrians who DOESN’T do everything possible to deport illegal invaders dropped off in some of the lovely neighborhoods the invaders have created and left there for a week.
Oh, please stay strong, Governors....
27 is a majority. A few more is a super majority and strong enough to shove it up Obama’s .........
I’ll wait for Cruz to answer the constitutional question if congress can stop these “refugees”. I think I read he has already written a bill about this to be passed by the Senate. However, knowing McConnell our bird brain Majority Leader, I doubt he will let it come up for a vote. There should be news about this bill shortly.
“27 is a majority. A few more is a super majority and strong enough to shove it up Obama’s .........”
Plus the governors of Guam and Saipan have both said no.
They actually a pretty good case as both island have a housing shortage
VERY interesting info. Thanks.
Frankly i don’t think McConnell would have the guts to not bring it up for a vote. He would then certainly follow Boehner. And he knows it.
If a no-carry state can throw an out-of-state legal carry into jail for crossing into their state, sure as horses a state can throw people out that cross their state lines if they come from a AK47 & bomb carry out-of-country country.
Can a Governor close the borders of his state? No. Obama can import anyone and ship them to any state, as he has been doing since 2009. He doesn’t care what any Governor says.
It’s making the rounds that maybe Obama DOES have the statutory authority to force muzzie invaders on the states, based upon the “Refugee Resettlement Act” of 1980, handed to the evil Jimmah Carter by a majority DemoRat Congress & signed by his sorry @zz so thousands of Marielito Cuban criminals & many more since skate past ICE into our midst.
This is Swimmer Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act on steroids. The governors may have to call out their National Guards if only to dare Obama to federalize them.
Call out the National Guard, load their ass’s up and transport them straight to DC.
Send the bill to the State Dept.
Done deal, what’s he going to do about it.
Time for the Governor’s to man up.
Isn’t it written somewhere that the Feds can’t enter a state without the authority to do so being granted by the State’s governor? I don’t think Obama would dare because he knows the majority of all servicemen are against him.....and i don’t think he has the I.F. to roll those dice.
in Obama’s mind 27 states is NOT a majority of the 57 states.
Thank God it’s election season and Chris Christie of NJ - where I pay property taxes (as opposed to my little rental in NYC) - is being forced to take a stand on this. I have no faith in him so I think he did this out of a cynical concern to boost his poll numbers. But I’ll take it!
It’s a nice statement by the guvs and I’m glad they’re doing it, but once they’re in, they’re in. It doesn’t matter at that point.
Well we really do not need Senator Cruz to answer.
refugees = “a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster” Not in the Constitution, thus Not a Power of the Federal Government. A refugee and Immigrant are two different things.
Now Invader is another Term and one more accurate for many of these individuals and there is something in the Constitution about them, The Federal Government is Responsible for STOPPING them.
Lastly There is no part in the Constitution where the Federal Government is Give Power to Tell a State(nation) they have to take Non-Americans in, However there is a part where the undefined powers are Left to the States and the People...
God Bless and Stop the Hijra (Arabic: ÙÙجÙرÙØ© hijrah) = Invasion!
I’m no lawyer but I’m betting it’ll be up to the courts.
Much better would be the republicans refusing to fund the refugee program.
But that would involve a “government shutdown” and of course they have no balls, so it won’t hapopen.
Eisenhower federalized the National Guard in Little Rock in 1957 in the name of civil rights.
Kennedy did the same in 1963 in Alabama when George Wallace stood defiantly in the schoolhouse door.
In either case there was no armed insurrection against Federal authority.
There was no internet, social media, or texting, either. If Obama decides to go all Hitler against the governors, there will be an internet-enabled uprising. And imagine him trying to shut down the internet China-fashion.
“Too many Christers have too many guns!” That’s what Obama is really thinking.
The way the process now works is that the Federal Govt partners with certain NGOs (like the Catholic Church-backed refugee organizations), and the refugees enter the State with no notification to the State govt. I’d like to see them change the process, but I’m afraid that will be up to Congress and the local populace of the areas to be settled. We have an anti-Syrian refugee movement here locally that is getting some traction.
