WASHINGTON (AP) -- It's not just black men having difficult relations with police. Black women are having a tough time, too.
Consider the schoolgirl who was slammed to the floor in a South Carolina classroom and the mysterious death of Sandra Bland inside a Texas jail cell. Videos showing black women being manhandled by police are bringing such problems to the forefront at a time when the public has focused largely on the relationship between black men and law enforcement.

there are thousands of police in USA
no doubt we can still find a few who are ‘too tough’ with people, black AND WHITE and green and purple too
certainly, the police trade (what with its badges and ‘authority’ and ‘muscle’) does attract some of the wrong element
these do need to be rooted out, its a continuing process to be sure
but... to publish articles that “black women have trouble with police in USA” based on what? a handful of ‘bad cases?”
again, there are tens of thousands of police officers in a big country like USA

ps: Dear AP, I am not a black woman.. I have had several occasions with police officerss. All but one went well or at least the cops were professional. Once, I ran into a bad corruption ‘ring’ ....where the agents turned out to be thieves acting under color of law..... so I don’t have any blinders on about the existence of some bad cops. STILL, AP, we need the mass media to help us (and the good, honest officers) root out the bad cops. We do not need the media to defame all police in America or to make wild generalizations that leave this impression in readers’ minds. Not all cops are bad, corrupt, or abusive. Most are not.
The author makes his living off of stoking the fires of racism. Look at his job title, if you can stoop low enough to give the site a click.
He laments that black women are ending up in jail at higher and higher rates.

When you see the feral behavior of these young females that they record and post, it is appalling. And the others egg them on. They are trying to be more violent than the males, just to show they can be.

In the case of the student, close observation of the video reveals that the girls was forcibly yanked from her chair (after refusing to cooperate) and rolled/dragged toward the door, but was not slammed to the floor, as her lack of injury proved.

Clearly the author hasn’t seen “black” women at their finest. My end of town borders the “hood” and these feral animals would think nothing of beating the ever loving slop out of you just because. They are some of the angriest & most ruthless members of our society.
