Well, I don’t hate all cops.
I had some cops do me serious damage, stole a lot of $$$ from me etc.
and I still don’t hate all cops.
indeed, who ya gonna call if you ever really need any help ? (Yes, I know all about the right of self-defense and our Second Amendment rights too, but sometimes that ain’t enough and any honest person should be willing to acknowledge that some...hopefully honest, competent policing is necessary in any real society).
HOPEFULLY the good cops (and the rest of us, including a reformed mass media?) can root out the bad ones.
But if there are some folks around who hate ALL cops all the time, then I really don’t even understand that well enough to comment Sorry, but that is beyond me... so I will sign off. thanks for the note, though!
You paint with too broad of a brush, IMO.
There’s a BIG wary eye vs. contempt for anyone in ‘authority’. I’d suspect the change can when they went from ‘peace officer’ to ‘law enforcement’.
Myself, when the blue wall and the long-arm-of-the-Law begins to go after, convict and JAIL those in the seats of authority (as much as they do the common serf, I mean Citizen), I believe that will change back. Respect, and trust, must again be EARNED.
I lump ‘em all in, regardless of the ‘few good’...they all wear the same badge.
