And now the plot thickens. In what has become one of the most egregious of the faked hate narratives, the bomb hoax clockster has a family with a history of supremacist stunts.
The father of the Muslim teenager, who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school, is a Sudanese immigrant who went from selling New York City hot dogs to twice running for president in his native country.
Mohamed ElHassan, who stood beside his son Ahmed Mohamed Wednesday and expressed how proud he is of him, grew up in an African village before moving to the U.S. to achieve the American dream, the North Dallas Gazette reported.
One of the earliest instances of the standout citizen making national news was in 2011, when he sensationally stood up to an anti-Islamic pastor and defended the Koran as its defense attorney. That mock trial at a Florida church ended with the books burning, to ElHassans claimed shock.
In an interview with the Washington Post at the time, the devoted Muslim said hed take on Rev. Terry Jones challenge because the holy book teaches that Muslims should engage in peaceful dialogue with Christians.
Also in 2011, ElHassan debated Robert Spencer on Does Islam Respect Human Rights? Clearly, he was trying to score against a famous Islamophobe and thus win a name for himself. ElHassan has been looking for publicity and chances to fight against Islamophobia for a considerable period. Now he has seized it, going so far as to claim his son was tortured by school and law enforcement officials.
This story is pure agitprop most fatal. If you see something, say something is now racism.

This whole “fighting Islamophobia” concept has a real name -
softening the target
When I first read about this a couple of days ago I said right then that it is a “put up job” and 0bozo is in on it!
Look at the pictures, the “clock” was intentionally made to look like a bomb and I haven’t seen any justification concerning why he should bring it to school.
Outside?? Now that is interesting.
Bet we find out in a few years the kid became a fighter for ISIS.
Maybe he now has an 'in' with a certain madrassa in Indonesia.

Is the family involved in the slave trade there?
School officials said they became suspicious after interviewing the student saying his overall stance was passive-agressive and evasive.
How could a book have a defense attorney? Someone doesn’t understand U.S. law?
Question is did he coordinate this with the White House beforehand. They’re response is to coincidental.
I have no idea what this kids intentions were. Looks like he disrupted class with an unknown device, an instigation occurred and he was released thereafter.
That being said, when I look at the picture I see a microcontroller, LCD output screen, ac power and battery power. The pencil box is being used to mount the LCD (on the lid) and the microcontroller and battery in the main body. If he added a temperature sensor he could have a device that displays the time and temperature!
You can buy these, and many more, components on the internet for less than $20. Many people such as myself make a hobby out of creating things using these components. I’ve put together simple light/temperature/pressure sensors that record the ambient conditions throughout my house. Everyone of them have displays, circuit boards and wires mounted in off-the-shelf housings like pencil boxes. So if wires and circuits boards look like bombs to you, I would suggest you do not look inside a computer, handheld calculator, your thermostat or any other electronic device. What should scare you is the presence of an EXPLOSIVE substance. I don’t see anything like that in the picture.
And the alarm went off while hidden in his backpack.
Oops says the kid.
Testing successful says I.
I'll bet there is more to this story than has yet been reported.
It goes further than Mohamed ElHassan (father) and Ahmed Mohamed (son), with their desire to " moving to the U.S. to achieve the American dream".
Does that American dream include the Islamification of America ?
The whole situation was a set up !
Softening the target .. indeed (!),as the CAIR folks were just to prepared to jump on this incident .
Collusion ?
Ahmeds story struck such a nerve because the world saw a model student thrown in handcuffs like a suspect whose crime was being brown. Before we left for the television studio, Ahmed had taken me into his bedroom to show me [Randy R. Potts] the now-famous desk where everything gets built. I asked if I could take a picture; he nodded and sat on his desk chair holding up a tangle of wires, and, seeing his Koran, grabbed it from his desk and held it up next to the wires.

That's right, he disrupted the school BIGTIME.
the whole thing was staged. His dad likely encouraged his son to do this knowing full well how the school would react
