This whole “fighting Islamophobia” concept has a real name -
softening the target
I'll bet there is more to this story than has yet been reported.
It goes further than Mohamed ElHassan (father) and Ahmed Mohamed (son), with their desire to " moving to the U.S. to achieve the American dream".
Does that American dream include the Islamification of America ?
The whole situation was a set up !
Softening the target .. indeed (!),as the CAIR folks were just to prepared to jump on this incident .
