America, this country of many different parts and different blended cultures is in trouble. A good part of our citizens and insular, shut off from a country of which they have no thoughts of exceptionalism, and unique in history.
Having an older, more mature outlook on my country, I have seen changes in our culture, our education, even in areas considered in my youth to be resistant to change. There are many in past generations that have no worth of a society that has stood the test of time since our founders. These are the areas where I have seen the most change.
The religions of the world have always been a stalwart against the denigration of culture. The United States is a Christian nation as founded, its laws, history and heritage derived from the Christian practices of the people who immigrated here. It is a culture defined in a millennia of English common law.
It appears to me that all facets of todays society (media, academics, etc.) have aligned themselves to argue against the historical foundations upon which our culture has been based. Personal decency is considered a relic from a backward past and responsibility an inconvenience to which some people will admit only when there is no one to effectively blame. Since its founding, Christian values and ideals were made an indelible part of this nation. They have done their part in providing unsurpassed liberty and a society in which anyone can succeed if willing to apply himself.
We have now devolved into a culture of victimhood in which others must be blamed for our own failings. The ideals of individual liberty and responsibility are looked upon as dangers to the collectivist order; to Hillary Clintons despicable claim that it takes a village...

I always recall the quote about Obama declaring his intent to “transform” America, but looking at the past seven years, the country seems to be more accurately described as “transitioning,” a la Bruce Genner.
I always feared America veering into a Marxist direction, but I frankly never in my wildest dreams expected to see the country devolve into such an ugly, vomitous freak-show.
The country is no longer interested in tax paying Americans. For nearly 7 years it has been shown few politicians even care. The country is now rules by racial grievance, the FSA, and illegal aliens. I am not optimistic.
As we meet Muslim assaults to our core principles and rights - such as the push to exempt blasphemy against Mohammed from freedom of speech, we are actually strengthened because we have already met some of these Constitutional challenges with Christianity. Artists can dunk a crucifix in urine, artists can draw a cartoon of Mohammed. This is freedom of speech protected by our Constitution.
It should swing the same for every religion: Individual children do have the right to read a Bible in school. Individual Muslims can hold their daily prayers. Consistent principles should apply. We should no more apply Cannon Law to our courts than Sharia Law. We are a real multicultural society to which laws must be applied. Can a Sikh child wear ceremonial knives at school? Can a Muslim woman cover her face in court? Should buses in New York be segregated by sex to suit Hasseatic Jewish law? Should school lunches be Hallal? Should Amish be forced to pasteurize their milk? Should mountain tops and everything that can be seen from them be regulated to preserve Native American spiritual experience (Mt. Shasta.)
That does not mean we toss out the Creator as the font of our inalienable rights, unreachable by the actions of man, and become a purely secular society like socialist France. It is also important that we must remain anchored in the Mosaic Law so that we are not cut adrift guided only by the democratic opinion of the day. In this respect, parsing the application of the law in a multicultural society is truly an American experience.
Its changing so rapidly you cannot catch your breath. We are bombarded from every side in a thousand ways. You cannot fight it within the structure. If good citizens don’t rise up soon we are screwed.
Donald Trump whether you like him or not was right in SC on Sat when he said the politicians are not going to get you to the promised land. So true.
I, for one, am no longer interested in paying taxes.....
