Cruz Pushes Back on Inexperience: I Wasn't Just a 'Community Organizer'
Breitbart ^ | 3/29/15 | Pam Key

Posted on 03/29/2015 8:16:50 PM PDT by rightistight

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” host Dana Bash grilled Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on his lack of experience being similar to then-Sen. Barack Obama’s when he ran for president .

Cruz defended his qualifications saying, “In his time in the Senate he had basically been a backbencher; he had not been leading on any issues of any significance. In my time in the Senate you can accuse me of being a lot of things but a backbencher is not one of them.”

“Unlike Barack Obama, I was not a community organizer before I was elected to the Senate,” he said.

TED CRUZ - MORE THAN QUALIFIED TO BE POTUS - 2016
http://www.tedcruz.org/

Pretty impressive...
• Solicitor General of Texas from 2003 - May 2008, Cruz was the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas, the youngest Solicitor General in the entire country, not to mention the longest tenure in Texas history.
• Partner at the law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius, where he led the firm’s U.S. Supreme Court and national appellate litigation practice.
• Cruz has authored 80+ SCOTUS briefs and presented 40+ oral arguments before The Court
• Cruz served as a law clerk to Chief Justice William Rehnquist. Cruz was the first Hispanic ever to clerk for a Chief Justice of the United States
• Described as a ‘superb’ constitutional lawyer, the man’s considerable skills and laser-like focus were on display for all when he took oily reptile Eric Holder by the neck and made him
answer the damn question.
• In the landmark case of District of Columbia v. Heller, Cruz assembled a coalition of 31 states in defense of the principle that the 2nd Amendment guarantees an individual right to keep and bear arms.
• Cruz presented oral argument for the amici states in the companion case to Heller before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
• In addition to his victory in Heller, Cruz has successfully defended the Ten Commandments monument on the Texas State Capitol grounds, the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance in public schools and the majority of the 2003 Texas redistricting plan. Cruz also successfully defended, in Medellin v. Texas, the State of Texas against an attempt by the International Court of Justice to re-open the criminal convictions of 51 murderers on death row throughout the United States.
• Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission
• Domestic Policy Advisor to U.S. President George W. Bush on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign.
• Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, where he taught U.S. Supreme Court litigation
• Ted Cruz is currently junior US Senator from Texas. In order to win the 2012 Republican nomination for the Senate seat vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison, Cruz had to defeat Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst -heavily favored/backed by the DC old-guard GOP- in the Republican primary runoff. In the event, TEA Party favorite Cruz crushed Dewhurst, 57-43%...
he then beat Democrat Paul Sadler in the general election by a similar margin, 56-41. Cruz is also endorsed by the Tea Party Movement and the Republican Liberty Caucus.
• AWARDS: “America’s Leading Lawyers for Business,” Chambers USA (2009 & 2010) “50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America,” National Law Journal (2008) “25 Greatest Texas Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century,” Texas Lawyer (2010) “20 Young Hispanic Americans on the Rise,” Newsweek (1999) Traphagen Distinguished Alumnus, Harvard Law School
• On November 14, 2012, Cruz was appointed vice-chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He is now spearheading efforts in the Senate to have root-and-branch...
Godspeed, Senator Cruz- I’m all in.

I’m surprised that Cruz didn’t reject Bash’s asinine premise.
Experience doesn’t necessarily equal the amount of time one held office.
Same liberals keep saying Palin is inexperienced. Nevermind she accomplished more in those 2.5 years than most 2-term Governors.

We need the following constitutional amendment to make sure that in the future we know as much about presidential candidates as we can.

1. We need to make sure that we don't go through another nightmare like we did with the Obama presidency because no one wanted to dig deep into candidate's Obama background before it was too late, and before Obama locked his personal records like his college records so that no one could find out who the real Obama was or is.

2. I was thinking about this amendment as I was thinking about how the recent suicidal German pilot was legally able to hide his mental problems before it was too late and before he murdered 150 people in the plane crash into the mountain.

3. As we know, United States presidents like Obama have the enormous power to kill many more than 150 people like the German pilot did, so we need to know as much about our presidential candidates like Cruz, Clinton, and Rubio as we can.

Constitutional Amendment, something like this:

"A presidential candidate must provide/release the following records when he registers to run for president in each state:

1. He must provide all physical and mental medical records.

2. He must provide all elementary, high school, undergraduate, and graduate records. "

So, a presidential candidate needs to confirm they got a +Mark in ‘plays well with others’ as a 3rd grader?

Elementary school? Really?

Cruz has a tangible resume and an actual body of work. You can walk into practically any library and locate the work output of his career. As for Obama and Hillary you would have to leave the reference section and look in the periodicals.

Hey, after Smoking Choom on a daily basis when he was a teenager, Obama got a Job at Baskins Robbins for a couple of weeks.

I think he quit because his wrists were so skinny that he got Carpal Tunnel or he just hated working for “The Man”.

Mr. Experience, that’s Obama.

You know, in business/hiring you have to have prior relevant work experience and apparently we oddly don’t require that for a Presidency. Obama is someone who would have problems getting hired as middle manager if not for his time in politics, skin tone, and of course, the threat of a 13% minority threatening to burn down the nation if he were not elected President.

Part or all of Obama's Hawaii elementary school records---some people say they are missing.

Obama's elementary school records---partial or full---as I understand it, are the only ones missing in the school.

One theory as to why they may be missing is this: It shows that Obama enrolled as a foreign student after he returned to Hawaii from living in Indonesia for a few years.

So, again, I say that the presidential candidate release his elementary records. If Obama had been forced to releases his elementary and high school records, maybe he would not be president today.

Did McCain or other Republican leaders demand Obama release his records in 2008? No, they were silent. It is the opposition party’s job to demand the facts and force the release of records just as Obama got the sealed divorce records of his Republican challenger for the US Senate released. That release destroyed his opposition.

I strongly suspect Bush, Cheney, the head of the FBI, the CIARA, NSA, and likely McCain all had the goods on Obama. Certainly the Clintons did and probably a number of press organizations. Yet everyone not only held back, they ridiculed those who did ask questions. Why?
