A middle school teacher in Louisiana received one of the most disgusting-looking lunches imaginable and posted a picture of it online yesterday.
The post, titled "I'm a teacher. My school cafeteria served this today," said that the meal below was supposed to be "ham:"
Unsurprisingly, the teacher decided not to eat her "meal" and threw the meat away after taking the picture.
She also plans on sending the picture to her school's food director "who is supposed to be enforcing federal regulations."
Looks more like 3rd grader to me - have they counted the number of kids lately? Any missing?
Tell the truth. That photo came from a medical journal.
And the patient has six months to live.
Pigs get better food than this. That looks disgusting. I’ve seen better looking meat come out of a can of Alpo.

It would have been interesting to have some dimensions and weight for that ham. My bet is that it is a very small and thin chip of low grade meat zoomed in very close for the picture. Zoom in tight enough and any food looks gross.
It’s a tumor cross-section from a pathology lab. The patient subsequently died.
It’s just possible that the school cooks and servers have just given up on trying to make nutritious and ‘good looking’ meals with what they are given to work with.
It does look like a bisected diseased lung.

I’d be willing to bet that the price of that meal is way in excess of what it would be for a Big Macaroo or a Wendyburger with super sized fries that a kid would actually eat. And that the purveyor is “Connected”.

I would have assumed that political correctness would prohibit serving ham least Muslims be offended. Perhaps the schools offer halal meals to Muslim students.
