There you have it... :-)

And here I thought it was liberal policies. There isn't much of a difference between that and Superman since belief in both requires make-believe.

Right.

Well, progress, of course, is not the enemy. But “Progressives” certainly are.

It's my BELIEF that we have EXACTLY the same proportion of sinners and sin today that we have had throughout human history.

In 1800 the world population reached ONE BILLION.
Today we have, according to Google: 7.125 billion (2013) folks in the world. LOTS more sin because of LOTS more sinners.

Nothing else has changed in human nature.

Superman couldn’t be omnipresent and couldn’t pay for anyone’s sins either. So losing him is no biggie.

I thought it was a typo when I didn’t see the ‘-ives’ at the end of ‘progress’.

Tell me about it. I made a fortune selling pay phones in the 1980’s.

I’m old enough to remember phone booths, but they always were made of glass.

Were they once made of something other than transparent glass?

"Progress?! Flobble-de-flee! In my day, when we were angry and frustrated, we just said, "Flobble-de-flee!" 'cause we were idiots and we didn't know what else to say! Just a bunch o' illiterate Cro-Magnons, blowin' on crusty handkerchiefs, waitin' in lines for our head to burst into flame and that's the way it was and we liked it!"
