I caught a bit of Beck's radio program yesterday and he said that his daughter attended a Ted Cruz event in Dallas recently and reported to Glenn that she was very impressed and Glenn said that although Cruz is currently ranked 5th he believes that after his strong defense of Israel in DC before the Middle Eastern Hezbollah-supporting "Christians" Beck said he believes Cruz is "the real deal" and should be the No. 1 GOP candidate.
Beck emphasized Cruz's ability to articulate conservative principles as proved in his record in arguing cases before the Supreme Court.

Palin/Cruz for 16 years of conservative bliss
why?
Because Sarah would make all the liberals’ heads explode, and then Cruz would have smooth sailing.

This kind of surprised me. A lot of talk show hosts hold back and try not to offend different parts of their audience who will inevitably support different candidates, but Beck just came out and said Cruz should be No. 1!

Don’t worry Glen, I would still vote for him anyway.

Oh, has Glenn returned from the border? He must have ran out of teddy bears and soccer balls for those dimple-cheeked young ‘uns.

It looks like the RATS have finally figured this out and stop running hit pieces on Ted over it.
Cruz is taking it straight to the people on Main St, AND taking it to his colleagues in both Chambers, like Reagan did.
Most politicians are I-centric: what I think, what I want to do etc.. Cruz speaks to people on what THEY need and what THEY need stopped.
I’m leaning more Cruz/West.

Beck is also presumed to lean libertarian, perhaps more in a Rand Paul sort of direction, but Rand Paul has been waffling all over the place...not that I would ever support him...I am an old Reagan-era guy who is still wondering what happened to my country!

I don’t trust Rand. Trust is huge. I trust Ted Cruz as his actions and statements have been well thought out...the man is a strategist and a warrior.

I don’t trust Rand much either, but a Cruz/Paul ticket would be unbeatable.

Me too, but to be honest I had to stop for just a millisecond and think about it.
