A GA county is refusing to pay for medical treatment for a baby who was badly injured during a botched SWAT raid on a home.
On May 28th, a SWAT team executed a raid on a home where a confidential informant (a criminal who trades information for a reduced sentence) told them he bought drugs. The CI said there were no children in the home.

They will have to sue to get the money.
Reminds me of an inciden about 15 years ago in Nashville where a couple from Oregon was walking on a sidewalk when a transformer literally exploded underneath them. They were both burned very badly and required months of hospital care. The city of Nashville had passed a law limiting their liability to $100k per event even though the medical bill was over $1 million.
Let’s hope they do and win big. And no, I don’t care that the taxpayers are are on the hook. Let them demand firings to prevent it from happening again.
THIS type if thing is why soooo many honky middle class patriots only tepidly condemned Ferguson violence —cuz cops and da gummint alienate those who otherwise would firm a base if support.

An injured child is instantly eligible for Medicaid if the parents cannot afford to pay.
What is the relationship between the County and the SWAT team?
Where they County employees?
I will guess that the city of Nashville did not make or own or operate or maintain or sell electricity from the transformer.
Nashville has some liability since it is their sidewalk.
But full liability falls elsewhere, presumably on the power company and the manufacturer.

There was never any doubt about responsibility. Even the Nashville Electric Service admitted responsibility but by law was on the hook for only $100k.
