Insiders say that President Obama will use President Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation as the model for his anticipated Executive Order granting amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants. In 1862 Lincoln declared that all slaves in territory held by the Rebels were "forever free." He justified it as a wartime necessity.
Those close to Obama say he views the parallels as "striking." "As he sees it," says an off-the-record source, "the vast majority of the illegal immigrants reside in states that are hostile to the Administration?at war with his efforts to transform the nation. Thus, as Commander-in-Chief he believes it is his right to act alone to both serve a broader justice and to weaken the strength of his political enemies."
"The beauty of it is that there's nothing anyone can do to stop him should he decide to go ahead," the source chortled. "He may not have the law or Constitution on his side, but he has strong support from national opinion makers. And if the GOP dares to impeach him for exceeding his authority a wave of Hispanic votes will sweep them aside in November."
To his credit, Lincoln aware of the absence of explicit authority for his proclamation sucessfully lobbied for a Constitutional Amendment (the 13th) freeing the slaves. President Obama is reported to see no need for a similar move on his part to try to fix what he considers "a fatality flawed and essentially useless document."

It’s very scary when we have to look to see if it’s satire. And many times it’s not.

Oh no...Obozo hadn’t thought of this until Semmons gave him the idea. He already already has compared himself to Lincoln on various occasions. All he needs is a civil war and he’s been trying for one for the past five years.
This may be satire but it’s exactly what the SOB is trying to do. The only thing that makes it satire is how goofy the Kenyan’s plan is. The whole Obama regime is nothing but satire with their childish and sophomoric antics.
If he can legislate by executive decree, why the hell are we paying Congress to sit on their collective asses while a Marxist drives this country into the ground. Come on GOP, grow a pair and stand up for those who put you there in the first place!

You have to stop doing this. I did not catch the ruse until the end of the article when semi-news was thrown in my face. This is not satire, intuition mayhaps, definitely not satire. If Obama does not use this rationale it will be because he has not thought of it.

The EP was a presidential proclamation, not an act of law, and therefore slavery remained unaddressed formally and lawfully until the passage of the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments some years later.
A president proclaims such and such a day is “ lobster day” and therefore it becomes a binding lawful act that can be enforced- everyone must eat a lobster?
Also, recall, the constitution was largely suspended due to the WONG, CW, WOTR or whatever one wishes to call it and martial law was the law of the day at the time of the EP...
Are we there yet? Thought not.
EOs and presidential proclamations have no force of law unless such authority or power is granted by the constitution (or relinquished to POTUS by congress, which may well be unconstitutional if we really care to look at it).

Now this one definitely looks fishy, some of your others are hard to tell that they are satire.
