Why Is It So Difficult To Call Elliot Rodger Evil?

An evil man by the name of Elliot Rodger murdered six, injured thirteen near the University of California at Santa Barbara. Rodger apparently coveted the company of women and was depressed by his family being just outside of the Hollywood elite. He had Asperger’s and has been in therapy since he was 8. In other words, we’re talking about an evil man who could probably function in society. At least until he started killing people. The feminist left has run wild with this story, complaining about misogyny while conveniently leaving out the fact that half the people Rodger murdered were men.

Why not call him "evil"? Because it takes the blame off our excuse of a civilization to figure out why so many young men are totally disassociated from any feeling for others. The numbers of young men, from comfortable environments and upbringings, who suffer from whatever is going wrong is staggering.

I see "Asperger's", "counseling" and "meds" in the resume and I wonder if the behavior modification stuff is what caused this problem.

Liberal Media couldn’t recognize evil if it stared it in the face. If someone has a redeeming quality they think it disqualifies someone from being evil when in fact the opposite is true. What makes someone truly evil is that they also have a few redeeming qualities that mask the evil that lurks inside. Truly evil people are hard to spot and that’s what makes them evil.

I would understand him being labeled crazy as well. In his case, however, it appears that his embrace of evil created the crazy.

When a man knowingly kills others, he is pure evil. He knew what he was doing. There is no valid excuse for killing another person except self-defense. He was most definitely pure evil.

What is the correct protocol for posting information from one's own blog? Should the author publish the entire essay, and post it as vanity?

I believe the correct word you should have used is "murder". There is no valid excuse for murder.

In times of war and the protection of innocents are quite valid excuses to kill.

Per Jim:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2636843/posts?page=552#552

“I have no complaint if a good conservative blogger posts his own material to FR, not as an excerpt to drive hits and discussion back to his blog, but rather to impart useful information to OUR readers and to promote and join in on the discussion and conservative activism HERE on FR.

If a blogger can’t or refuses do that, and if he constantly complains or fights with our participants over it, then I’d just as soon he doesn’t post here.”

In fact, 4 of the 6 murdered were men, the 3 in the apartment and 1 more at the scene. But all 6 of those murdered are God’s children, souls and I pray for their families.

The manifesto written by the murderer is what is the mixed bag. Not sure if I have seen feminists latching on to it as anti-women.

I go to an original link only 10% of the time anyway, if other posters are like me, chances are links posted shouldn’t get that many hits anyway.

What I am curious about is the rabidly anti-gun father of one of the victims, who except for his weeping TV appearances, doesn’t seem to exist. Allegedly a resident of San Luis Obispo, there are no other pictures of him or personal details about his life on the Internet.
