One of, if not the worst “A” western ever made.

I saw the movie first time in 1967 while in S. Korea in the Army, and really liked it. The storyline, the acting, and Ennio Morricone’s music was the icing on the cake. Loved it.

I got back to the good ol’ USA in 1968, and took my extremely liberal, left wing mother to see the movie that Summer, and she absolutely hated it. She wouldn’t say why, just said it was a horrible movie, and intimated in her liberal way that I was a horrible person for liking it, and wondered where she had failed.

SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH!

I’ll leave it there.

I say nothing more.

What’s not to like? Two and a half hours of pure eye-candy, great soundtrack with one of my personal favorite movie scenes (Tuco searching in the graveyard), and great lines (”When you have to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk.”). If you want to change the channel when it comes on be my guest, but not in my house...
