Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Monday announced the hiring of Paul Teller, the veteran Hill staffer who conservative activists rallied around after his high-profile ouster as the lead staffer on a prominent Republican committee last month.
Teller, the former executive director of the House Republican Study Committee, will serve as Cruzs new deputy chief of staff, starting this week.
Pauls many years of experience working in Congress and his tireless work to advance conservative principles make him a tremendous addition to our team, Cruz said. I look forward to working with him to keep making Texans voices heard in Washington and to promote a positive policy agenda that will restore economic growth, rein in government overreach, and protect Americans personal liberties.

I like Cruz more and more.
LOL this is great.
“This has a lot of RINO’s upset.”
Then it’s a great move by Cruz.
It’s great when a conservative can turn a lemon into lemonade and profit from it. Collectivists are foaming at the mouth as we speak.
Take that John Boehner and your RINO committee stooges!!
Cruz is a man of character. He was not going to let a good man get screwed.
Don’t forget to contribute to Katrina Pierson for Congress. She is challenging Pete Sessions in the primary and will appreciate your assistance. She is a friend of Ted Cruz and has been a fearless conservative activist for many years. http://www.katrinaforcongress.
This guy who got screwed by RINOs may find himself a “Senior White House Advisor” some day. (I hope).
Deputy Chief of Staff?????
These Senators have way too big of staffs to be having a Deputy. Seriously, how much do you think we are paying him for his job? Over 100K for sure. I would be more impressed with Cruz if he would get rid of the position instead of being another big government lover.
“...This has a lot of RINO’s upset...”
You don’t take flak unless you’re over the target.
Mission Accomplished.
These staffers actually work their butts off. I am all for efficiency, but all those calls and inquiries don’t answer themselves. I probably keep one of them busy all by myself!
Teller should make this list sometime in the future

From the article:
’Paul Teller is one of the true heroes of the conservative movement,’ more than 50 well-known conservative activists wrote in a letter after the firing. ‘For over a decade, he has been the guiding light of conservatism on Capitol Hill. No one has done more to advance conservative principles and block the liberal agenda than Paul Teller. In the tradition of President Reagan, he is a true happy warrior who is both forceful and courageous.’
“Teller was let go from his job after he had been working with some outside conservative groups to oppose the budget deal offered by Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan and Washington State Sen. Patty Murray. The members of the RSC who paid his salary were divided on the issue.”
Yeah, naps, let’s just pack him up and send him on his way. NOT.
The man is worth every penny Cruz’s job will pay him and then some. And after what has been done to him, he will work twice as hard for Cruz when loyalty counts and Cruz will be all the better for it.
The bad news bears of Conservatives are kicking azz.
If he is so good, cruise would fire his chief of staff and put this guy in. That is what a small government type would do.
Good job Ted.
I have always thought that these are the real people running the show.
I hope Ted got a good one and not one of the low hanging fruit.
Sounds fine and all that, but I assume Senator Cruz was advertising for an opening and didn’t just create another government (people) funded job?
