According to the USDA, the average monthly food benefit for an American family is about $272. Come November 1st, that will be reduced by $36 – or about 13%.

Now, that may not seem like a big number, until you consider that the people depending on these distributions are already struggling to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads.

Are they? Now as we have seen demonstrated none of them have any savings or keep any stores of food in the pantry but I would hesitate to estimate how many are actually struggling.

If the cuts are real I seriously doubt Washington will allow them to stand unless the Administration thinks there is a political advantage to be gained by punishing their own base. Don't be suprised if Congress slips something through quietly in the next few days to fully fund the program.
