I love it when liberal progressives actually speak their true beliefs for us all to hear. However, you have to probe deeply and get them riled up enough to blow their cool in order to hear their unvarnished agenda. Liberals know that sane people do not agree with their policies or their goals, so they must always cloak them in a shadowy cloud of lies. It's always, "it's about the children!" or "where's your compassion?" with them in order to mask their true goals. Once you get under their skin, you can expose their lies and twisted words as they'll involuntarily bark out what they truly believe in.
Such was the case earlier this week as I was driving home from a much-needed trip. I was listening to a broadcast of the America Now with Andy Dean show as I was cruising down the highways of our great land. The show in question was a collection of highlights and one interview really showed how the progressive liberal mind works. Andy Dean was talking with Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of Obama crony Rahm Emanuel, and is one of the key architect of the upcoming disaster of Obamacare. As the interview progressed, Ezekiel Emanuel become more and more angry as Andy Dean would cite facts to shoot down the pro-Obamacare talking points that Emanuel was spitting out. With every minute, Emanuel's voice became increasingly strident (another hallmark of the progressive liberal debating method) and he eventually exploded, shouting out a statement that is the core of progressive liberalism. When Dean was discussing how many people, especially young people, would not choose to purchase expensive health insurance as they feel they don't need it, Ezekiel Emanuel rages, "YOU DON'T HAVE A CHOICE!"
You don't have a choice. Think about that for a moment. This is the core tenet of the liberal philosophy - a lack of choice on the part of the individual. Progressive liberalism is all about control and the collective and is opposed to the American ideal of self-reliance and individualism. You don't have a choice. To the liberal, individuals are incapable of making decisions for themselves or their families. School vouchers that allow you to send your children to the school of your choice? No. Having the freedom to decide on whether or not you have to join a union in order to get a job? No. Every aspect of a person's life is unsafe from the meddling and scrutiny of the progressive liberal. They want to tell you what to wear, what to eat, what activities you can do, how you school your children, and now even the most basic medical decisions will be taken away from you and handed over to a government bureaucrat.
The liberal philosophy despises the individual and the key component of being an individual is the ability to make choices. To the progressive liberal, choices are bad. You are too ignorant or stupid to make them for yourself. You need the guiding hand of Big Government to steer you along your predetermined path of life. Those who practice such beliefs consider themselves righteous, but, in truth they practice tyranny and evil. Liberals mask their intentions with feel good slogans and emotional appeals, but the truth comes out when they're pushed. Listen to them when they're flustered and they don't filter their words - you don't have a choice.

Liberals are about ocntrol.
They cry that we must have choice when it’s for something they want.
They cry we can’t have choice when most people want the opposite of what they want.
This is why they love computerized multiple choice testing. They get to word the questions the way they want, and word the answers there are to pick from the way they want(ie controlling the language and framing the issue) and you can only select an answer from THEIR APPROVED choices.
This is why we can’t let them in politics control the language and frame issues because we have to be able to offer answers NOT on their approved list, not buying into their premises and reframing the debate onto the issues that matter more to us and regular people than esoteric, hyper-focused, liberal nuttterbutters.
I’ve heard the same thing, sugar coated, from congressional staffers. I’ve asked them why would a doctor continue prating while making less money (due to increased taxes) and working more hours (due to everyone thinking its free). the response I’ve received a coupe of times was “they have to... they took an oath”
each time I heard it, I just laughed.. then asked how they expect that to work. they said they’d have to... or retire (no choice)
progressives are not liberals... as the word is based on ‘liberty’ or freedom.

The tower of Babel was built of bricks...which the common man toiled to make for those with the big vision of a tower to heaven. Each one the same, just like the people who made them were treated. But people aren’t bricks, we are each uniquely wonderful individuals, and the grand scheme of the ambitious leaders can’t comprehend how to make us all work together in harmony...so they must first dehumanize us into bricks so they can build their silly tower to their own glory as they imagine that they are a gift to humanity.
I did not realize my former boss was a communist until I had known her for some years. Up to a certain point, I just thought she was a very hard core liberal. But every now and then the mask would slip and I saw the real monster leering out. One such instance was in a discussion about schooling. In the end, as our disagreement became more pronounced, she blurted out that our kids did not belong to us, they belonged to the state. Naturally, I jumped her case on that one, telling her over my dead body - which she would likely agree, and probably did, silently. Another time, she very angrily spit out It’s the %$#! Jews and their &^%$@! banks!!” She once extolled the virtues of eugenics and proudly displayed a book from the twenties on the subject. I told her it was very Margaret Sanger-ish of her, which she didn’t like very much. On a long drive for work is when the true colors really came to the fore. I told her my folks were from Indiana, and she said something along the lines, very proudly of, “Good people from there. The home of American communism.” (She was wrong, I know, adn I called her on it). If you listen carefully to them you can peg them immediately. She was an easy one...

You are almost correct in your statement.
It's not that liberals think we are incapable of making decisions, or else we'd see paralysis and inaction.
It's that liberals fear that we would make the wrong decision, that is, we would choose another option than their preferred one.

Exactly. Any decision that’s different from theirs by definition must be “wrong”. And no one else must be allowed to prove them wrong because it would “hurt the common good”.

Works for me all the time. I don’t bother arguing the facts with them. They will make up lies and excuses. I just call them a liberal moron and they take their ball and leave.
