Liberals are about ocntrol.
They cry that we must have choice when it’s for something they want.
They cry we can’t have choice when most people want the opposite of what they want.
This is why they love computerized multiple choice testing. They get to word the questions the way they want, and word the answers there are to pick from the way they want(ie controlling the language and framing the issue) and you can only select an answer from THEIR APPROVED choices.
This is why we can’t let them in politics control the language and frame issues because we have to be able to offer answers NOT on their approved list, not buying into their premises and reframing the debate onto the issues that matter more to us and regular people than esoteric, hyper-focused, liberal nuttterbutters.
I’ve heard the same thing, sugar coated, from congressional staffers. I’ve asked them why would a doctor continue prating while making less money (due to increased taxes) and working more hours (due to everyone thinking its free). the response I’ve received a coupe of times was “they have to... they took an oath”
each time I heard it, I just laughed.. then asked how they expect that to work. they said they’d have to... or retire (no choice)
progressives are not liberals... as the word is based on ‘liberty’ or freedom.

The tower of Babel was built of bricks...which the common man toiled to make for those with the big vision of a tower to heaven. Each one the same, just like the people who made them were treated. But people aren’t bricks, we are each uniquely wonderful individuals, and the grand scheme of the ambitious leaders can’t comprehend how to make us all work together in harmony...so they must first dehumanize us into bricks so they can build their silly tower to their own glory as they imagine that they are a gift to humanity.

You are almost correct in your statement.
It's not that liberals think we are incapable of making decisions, or else we'd see paralysis and inaction.
It's that liberals fear that we would make the wrong decision, that is, we would choose another option than their preferred one.
