The Pew Center has some really neat stuff in its new poll of Republican voters — including this particular chart showing the favorability ratings among some major Republican figures.
There are a few surprises about the potential presidential candidates. One thing that surprises me is that Rand Paul has such low negatives overall, especially after he’s been putting himself out there so much lately and shamelessly running for the presidency. Another is that Chris Christie is liked about as much by Tea Party types as he is by mainline Republicans — although the former are more likely to view him unfavorably.
But perhaps a less-noticed takeaway — and one that really surprises me — is that Tea Party Republicans like House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a lot more than mainline non-tea-party Republican voters do.

These two voted to break the back of our military through budget cut after budget disaster, all the while exempting the Entitlement Takers.
I say these are phony Tea Partiers they are polling.

I’m still not ready to declare a verdict on Boehner.
He has his good days, and his bad, but all in all he’s kept things together well enough.
Look, the point is that we have no idea of the kind of pressures that are at work here. I don’t mean black-mail, but the bargaining process: a vote for one thing in exchange for silence on some totally unrelated issue is probably typical of the trades they make. It’s a combination whore-house, abattoir and carnival ride.
You vote as best you can, trust everybody else to do the same, try to believe their—as well as your—congress-critter is competent and means to do right, accept the fact that he/she/it knows more about the business than you do, pray, and let them make their sausage.
Few TEA Party participants would waste their time to participate in any such “poll”.
1. Anyone who claims to be an official TEA Party leader, is not one.
2. Those who claim to have “polled” TEA Party members, have not.
It really irks the hell out of the political class that more people each day are refusing to play by a set of rules that the government set up to protect themselves against hundreds of millions of citizens.
So much so, that they are now hell bent on importing millions of foreign “voters” to keep their power.....

Both of them are TARP yes voters, so no, I don’t trust them and wouldn’t vote for them.
