The Pentagon Wages War On Christians
OK Politechs ^ | 05/02/13 | Charles M. Phipps

The United States Department of Defense is waging another war, but not against another country.  Their target?  Christians in our own military.

Obama appointees at the Pentagon have jumped into bed with Mikey Weinstein, founder of the Military Religions Freedom Foundation, who will be a consultant in developing new policies on religious tolerance in the military.  The new policies will include a court-martial for military chaplains who share the Gospel during spiritual counseling of American servicemen and women.

Weinstein wrote an angry column for the Huffington Post in which he said, “Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation’s armed forces.”

Weinstein has also compared sharing the Gospel to rape and said, "It is a version of being spiritually raped and you are being spiritually raped by fundamentalist Christian religious predators." He told the Washington Post that proselytizing is a "national security threat."

The Pentagon would not confirm or deny that anyone has been prosecuted for sharing their faith, but did confirm that soldiers could be prosecuted under military regulations for doing so.

In his column Weinstein endorsed the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which has labeled Christian groups supporting traditional marriage as "hate groups."  The SPLC is the group which supplied the training material presented to a Pennsylvania Army Reserve unit which said that Evangelical Christians are the number one extremist threat to America.  Not the Muslim Brotherhood.  Not Al Qaeda. Not Hamas. Not the Ku Klux Klan.  Evangelical Christians are at the top of their list.

Congressman Randy Forbes (R-VA) has been monitoring religious discrimination complaints in the military and he told Fox News that it's getting worse.  He said, "It's been a steady attack on faith and religious freedom that we've seen in our military like we've never seen before.  We are getting a lot of calls from soldiers saying 'we're afraid of going to church, we're afraid to be seen praying, we're afraid that would hurt our careers, our promotions.'"

Forbes asked Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel about the religious liberty issues and listed specific examples:

Secretary Hagel said he had no idea what Forbes was talking about.

Forbes said, "I just can’t understand why the department is issuing orders prohibiting people in the chain of command from talking about chaplain’s programs, supporting faith, but they’re not prohibiting people in the chain of command from making anti-faith statements and doing anti-faith training.  I think there has been a huge move on the Department of Defense to respond to a very small but very vocal group of people who hate God and religion.  They have been very successful of getting the ear of the people at the Pentagon. They have done everything they have asked them to do.”

The animosity shown Christians by our own military leadership comes as no surprise to me.  With the Obama administration being openly helpful and sympathetic to Muslims and Islamic causes it follows that appointees by the administration would be hostile to Christianity and create policy which attacks it.

Conservative historian David Barton has labeled Obama "America's most Biblically-hostile U.S. President."  Barton has compiled a list of "acts of hostility" toward people of Biblical faith.  It's an incredibly long list.  You can read that list here

Barton also has a list of acts of hostility just for the military.  Here are just a few examples from a very long list:
Clearly, things have changed in our military.  Open hostility to Christians runs rampant and it seems to be getting worse.  How long before Christians are just completely barred from joining the military?  Pictures like the one below may someday be relegated to the history books.

Could it be that the dictator-wanna-be needs to have an all liberal military that he can count on to do his bidding one day?

It would appear that for our sins God has confounded logical, rational thinking in America...

...we all know what follows.

“Secretary Hagel said he had no idea what Forbes was talking about.”

Why does that not surprise me?

Thank you SOOOOO much for posting this. The blog item it links to is documented for each point. WELL WORTH a bookmark - so you can shove it in the face of any libtard family members or “friends” who insist that Obutthead isn’t anti-Christian/anti-Jewish and promotes Islam.

It’s more in Obama’s fight to destroy America.

The military filled with Queers and women and now they drive out Christians, then what is left?
Now if they can outlaw civilians with guns we can be taken over by the first country to decide to do so.

It’s all part of the plan. Americans voted for it. or at least the polls showed they did, By fraud and deceit? A lot of it and next time more since Romney accepted it and went back to getting richer.

Not fair to smear all women. A great many of whom have had long histories of their families fighting for this country. It’s OUR country too. I know many women who have proudly and honorably served, some from my family [which has served this country since the revolutionary war, and save the Spanish American war, had a service member in every fight we’ve ever had. So sucks to you for knocking women! (And no, I’m not for allowing women into every role, for instance, submarines.]

I’m hoping Christians will enlist in droves.

I can imagine lots of ways this could play out. If all the Christians in the military broke this rule, the military courts would stagger under the burden of litigation.

Obama knows nothing about Benghazi, Hagel knows nothing about anti-religion directives, Hillary knows nothing about what difference it makes...

I’m not shocked that a Muslim President is warring on Christians. I’m only shocked that he ever got elected twice and that there is no outcry about it.

I am all for women In the Waves, The Wacs and other womens service organizations.

They do not belong in the military mixed in with men and they do not under any circumstances belong in Combat.

Now that isn’t an attitude taken because I dislike women, but because I respect them—as women.

If that sucks, then so be it. I love women. I respect them.
As women.

Elections have consequences, I blame this on all the brain dead democratic voters who ignored Barack Hussein Obamas choice of religion, which regardless of what sources may try to steer you into believing is and always will be Islam.

And islam is the law of the land, ushered in thanks to the efforts of The Muslim Brotherhood.

I don’t remember any attempts at conversion going on when I was in the USAF. We did have to attend chapel on Sunday but no one was forced to go forward. Out of Basic you were on your own to chose which church you wanted to go to, or no church.

While I am seeing a very anti-Christian attitude in this admin I must mention that I do have a book by a former Military Chaplan which is very anti-Catholic and he bemoans the fact that he can’t really preach the way he wanted to. He was a Campbellite chaplan.

I definitely would not want HIM trying to convert soldiers to his way of thinking, having run into a lot of CofC preachers in the past. Remember the Campbellite Wars her on FR back about 2004-2008?

I also have TWO New Testaments published by the US Government Printing Office. One from 1941, and one from 1957.

THE WHITE HOUSE
WASHINGTON
March 6, 1941

To the members of the Army:
As Commander-in-Chief I take pleasure in commending the reading of the Bible to all who serve in the armed forces of the United States. Throughout the centuries man of many faiths and diverse origins have found in the Sacred Book words of wisdom, counsel and inspiration. It is a fountain of strength and now, as always, an aid in attaining the highest aspirations of the human soul.

Very sincerely yours,

FRANKLIN D ROOSEVELT

Basically these people want to bring hell to earth, right now.

This is, IMHO, due to a few things: The insidious infiltration of Islam in our military and government, generalized atheistic communism/socialism, and the homosexual agenda. I have no doubt that observant Jews will be next to be discriminated against. Note that Weinstein said elsewhere (I didn't see it in this article) that he's never seen a fundamentalist Moslem. I wonder if this will be enough for those who've taken oaths to seriously consider them.

Anyone wanting on/off either ping list, freepmail me.

I’ve read many personal experience of those in the military and 98% of them agree with Venturer.
