A New Years Eve tradition for some in France of torching empty, parked cars has continued into 2013.
Interior Minister Manuel Valls said Tuesday that 1,193 vehicles were burned overnight around the country, where the stunt began in the 1990s.
In Frances rundown suburbs, it has become as much of a New Year tradition as champagne and fireworks in more affluent neighbourhoods, the Agence France-Presse

With this being a “monkey see, monkey do” nation, I see this “tradition” heading our way in a short time. Another reason why we cannot allow the liberal politicians to infringe upon our Second Amendment rights.
This one reason we have firearms!
I agree, headed to a neighborhood near you. They will just burn your house down, too. Obama will say they look like his imaginary son. Gun Conrol, anyone?
Sounds like something Algore and Ray LaHood would love to bring to America.
Damn youtube video!

those wacky muslim yutes burnt all the cars up again.......those crazy kids.
Instead of kicking their collective asses, the french embrace this as a tradition?
Until some one snaps back and kills them this will continue.
Those kiddies do the cutest things...
Utes on the warpath.
Bet they have gun control in France.
Gun “control” is all over Europe. So are Muslims. Although the muslims seem to be immune from the former, as well as any laws, morals or decency....
Thanks george76.
hmmmm- maybe there shoudl be a new ‘tradition’ on new years eve in france- ARREST ANYONE out doors after 6:00 pm- These animals want ot ruin it for everyone- let them take hte brunt of thep ublic’s wrath when the public can’t go for festivities on NYears eve anymore!
I’ve never quite undersood this type of vandalism...if someone trashes my car, it hurts the insurance company...not me. If you vandalize a car in your “hood”, that is not insured....it hurts one of your own....so the purpose is...????
So, you and your wife and children would not feel disheartened and indignant, powerless and humiliated, if, for the third year in a row, a roving gang of vandals had torched your family car this New Year's Eve.
The purpose of their barbaric behavior is to make you feel like a powerless pawn who dare not venture out of his apartment when they rove the streets.
Regards,
P.S. What does it do to your insurance premiums when, year in, year out, your family car is torched?
Bet they have gun control in France.
“With this being a monkey see, monkey do nation, I see this tradition heading our way in a short time.”
The burning of cars by Muslims is a behavior resulting from a diet deficient in heavy metals.
I predict Americans seeing someone attempting to burn their car being kind and caring conservatives and thus curing such behavior with injections of lead.
I am disheartened by (NOTHING, NOTHING) that the underworld does. I work in the juvenile justice system and I fear nothing about these idiots. Torching of cars, mayhem in the inner city is because of inadequate police coverage and SERIOUSLY inadequate civilian protection. It it new years eve and in certain areas you know that the village idiots are out in force....why can't a certain segment of society stay behind to ensure stability???? We've tried it and it works!!!! Remember before air conditioning, and comfort control systems when people used to sit out on their porch, and kids played in the area, and there was virtually no crime????
I spoke before a joint council of the Wisconsin legislature as a high school senior representative to the Governor's conference on children and youth...The main theme of my remarks was that the community would recieve the exact level of juvenile,or other, violence that it would tolerate. I have been proven correct all my life and I'm well into my seventies!!!!! Regards, P.S. What does it do to your insurance premiums when, year in, year out, your family car is torched?
