Couldn’t narrow it down just a little?

Great list, a lot of these would also be on my favorites. I especially liked your inclusion of Elvis Costello's "My Aim is True" and Joe Jackson's "Look Sharp", which are regrettably overlooked, but great albums.

Nice list - out of it I noticed some on my oddball faves: Feelies, X, and Skeeter Davis. Which begs the question - did this person ever enjoy NRBQ? “Live at Yankee Stadium” would fit in with that stuff, or “Diggin’ Uncle Q”. Elvis Costello is a big NRBQ fan.

Loverboy is a little troubling... VU is a nice counterbalance.

Try to hum just ONE Pink Floyd song. Just try.
Get in the shower, pick 20 of their songs you have heard on the radio. Just hum ONE of them.
I double dare you.

There is a lot of good music in there.
I would have to squeeze in Fever Tree’s first and Spirit’s album, among others.

Some good albums here for sure.Having been a music fanatic since I was 10,one of the beauties of having access to 1)a PC...2)CD ripping software...3) a public library with an amazing CD collection and a website with a great search function I now have a 5,000 song music collection consisting mainly of CD-Rs,about 80% of the songs being ones that I love.

I think he’s all about Hall and Oates. The rest are just his beard.

Yup.....I agree. No Bob Seger, who has one of the greatest voices in recorded music & no Eagles really misses the mark for that era. Lot’s of Springsteen, who can’t sing for crap, though I like his early stuff.

Probably A Hard Day’s Night would be the only one of your 126 to make my list. Of course, MY list would be filled with Al Stewart and Harry Chapin albums. Green Day, Live, Alice Cooper, Guess Who, Enya and Michelle Branch are some of my other faves. Bob

Okay, I read your post and the last song on Dark Side of the Moon popped into my mind, the one with the line “the lunatics are on the grass” (I’m blanking on the title). And I am now humming it. Do I win a prize?

Real nice list....
my favorite
“Abandon Luncheonette” Hall and Oates

It’s a fairly predictable list for a guy in, I’m guessing, his late forties to early fifties. Occasional surprises to the good (X) and occasional veering into the insipid (Loverboy, twice) but who hasn’t bought music that is rather embarassing in hindsight? There is a lot of early MTV influence here.

After #20 are they really “favorites” anymore?!
Of course my first 20 would be mostly RUSH, with perhaps a few ELP and YES albums thrown in. (There is no Plan B).
