I’ll watch for the OPEN SUNDAY signs tomorrow. Meanwhile, Corporate America, Inc. will be donating gazillions to fund gay marriage, Pride parades, and public sodomy. Take the kids!
That’s really deflating. Sickening! I hope those who live near one of them will boycott.
“Mr. Martinez said Chick-fil-A told the alderman they will no longer fund groups that support traditional marriage through their charity arm,”
...they just lost my business.
wtf
not exactly so....all they said was they would reconsider not that they would change. don’t let the lefties fool you
It is a disgrace tha one small group can speak out and quash the Free Speech Rights of a Pro Family company.
I wonder if it was the franchise owner or corporate.
If they offered to “reconsider” in business-speak that means they are caving.
Ping!
For many months now, Chick-fil-As corporate giving has been mischaracterized. And while our sincere intent has been to remain out of this political and social debate, events from Chicago this week have once again resulted in questions around our giving. For that reason, we want to provide some context and clarity around who we are, what we believe and our priorities in relation to corporate giving.
A part of our corporate commitment is to be responsible stewards of all that God has entrusted to us. Because of this commitment, Chick-fil-As giving heritage is focused on programs that educate youth, strengthen families and enrich marriages, and support communities. We will continue to focus our giving in those areas. Our intent is not to support political or social agendas.
As we have stated, the Chick-fil-A culture and service tradition in our restaurants is to treat every person with honor, dignity and respect regardless of their belief, race, creed, sexual orientation or gender. We will continue this tradition in the over 1,600 restaurants run by independent Owner/Operators.

“Chick-fil-A: Who We Are.”
I was planning to patronize one that will be opening near me. Now, fuhgetaboutit.
Pile of PR crap. Notice they did not deny the report.
I think there was a complete misrepresentation of what was said. They didn’t say they would cease to support family, life, or Christian charities. They said they would not support organizations SPECIFICALLY DEDICATED to opposing gay marriage. There are only a few small organizations that fit that description, and I doubt whether they supported them in the first place.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to believe what the left wing press says, especially since they twist their language when talking about anything gay.
I think Lefties are twisting this to make those of us who support traditional morality lose heart. Here is part of the statement on Chick Fil A’s website.
“A part of our corporate commitment is to be responsible stewards of all that God has entrusted to us. Because of this commitment, Chick-fil-As giving heritage is focused on programs that educate youth, strengthen families and enrich marriages, and support communities. We will continue to focus our giving in those areas. Our intent is not to support political or social agendas.”
The statement can be read in full here,

It is also 'business-speak' to 'F.O.' (i.e., 'I reconsidered, and decided not to change anything').
I'd like to get Chick-Fil-A's definitive response to these claims made by the Sodomite lobby.
And exactly why shouldn’t they support organizations that want to stop gay marriage? EVERY OTHER CORPORATION that has weighed in on the issue gives its profits to weirdo organizations dedicated to shoving it down our throats. No outcry. No nothing.
THIS IS BS.
This is the spin from some Chicago Democrat.
Don’t believe the accusations.
Wait until you hear from “the good guys.”
Dang, some FReepers are stupid. So eager to believe the worst, from the mouths of the worst kind of people.
I’ll be waiting to see if the gays have their own “Chick-Fil-A day” to celebrate their “victory”.
