Well, apparently he was returning from the convenience store to his father’s house with Skittles at 7PM.

And if you don't think theives will steal in their own neighborhoods, and this wasn't his or his father's neighborhood it was his father's fiance's neighborhood, then you are very out of touch.

I live in a private homeowner’s association development. We all keep an eye out for strangers. Frequently I have to advise folks walking in our neighborhood that their dogs must be on leashes. So the jerks started power walking at 5:30am, and their dog is running loose to poo on our lawns. I’m not the only one who is irked by this behavior.
Making it a gated community is looking more and more attractive.
Sounding more and more like another in a series of ‘whitey beatdowns’ that didn’t turn out exactly as the perp intended.
Look for more of this as people begin to carry to protect themselves.
Fine, the house was legally owned by his father's fiance but that seems like semantics. If his father was living there then Martin would have seen it as his father's house. And he was returning to that house from the 7-11 around 7 PM so I don't see how there is even less to back up the description I gave.
In any case, this is all beside the point. If he fought with Zimmerman, regardless of who initiated the fight, it would have been because he felt he was in danger. I just don't understand why people have to call him a gang banger when he had no violent history.
I’ve seen teenagers casing storefronts in Manhattan. You notice them immediately because they are walking veeeeery slowly, wandering up to doors and windows and then returning to the sidewalks veeeeery slowly. Almost a sing-song pattern if you can imagine. Freaks me out every time.
What planet are you living on? Haven’t you seen the twitter account where someone mentions that he beat up a bus driver? The screwdriver? His pounding Zimmerman’s head on the sidewalk? The gang tattoos? The gold teeth?
It was a nice fantasy that he was really Beaver Cleaver but it’s turning out he’s more like a violent Eddie Haskell.
You'd have to ask them but maybe it's his gold grilz and his twitter handle @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA and his brother tweeting "<<<< yu ain't tell me yu swung on a bus driver" a couple of weeks before this incident.

Well, this was a gated community that had been the subject of numerous burglaries, and the suspected perps were "young black males". It was after dark, and he was not a resident of the community (nor was his father - it was the father's girlfriend who lives there). So Zimmerman, who apparently knows the area and the residents well, sees a young black male who does not live in the neighborhood walking through the neighborhood and seeming to case the houses. That looks pretty suspicious to me...
Come on, this is a 17 year old kid with no history of violence who was likely shot because of a tragic misunderstanding.
Well, there is at least one report of this kid with "no history of violence" beating down a bus driver. And now there are eyewitness account of this "kid" being on top of Zimmerman, banging his head against the concrete.
It’s quite possible that he’s telling the truth and he really thought his life is in danger, just as Martin must have thought his life was in danger because he was being followed by a stranger first by car and then on foot.
Well, if Martin though his life was in danger, he made a bad decision to attack Zimmerman and try to do a beat down...
If Martin was casing houses to potentially rob, I don’t think he’d be doing that in the gated community that his father lived in.
That is an unfounded speculation. So let me indulge myself in one of my own.
If Trayvon Martin had just been walking along straight back to the home he was living in I don't think George Zimmerman would have been suspicious and called the police.
Exactly...that’s why Jesse and the boys are so pissed. They don’t give a crap about their newly sainted thug, they’re trying to intimidate the folks who will shoot back at them, plain and simple!
The innocent young man was probably just breaking into houses and taking stuff.
It doesn't mean he was a bad fellow or anything.
Sheesh. Come on, people.
Maybe Martin was out to score some weed. Maybe that’s what upset him about Zimmerman following him.

You are making the mistake of thinking this is about Martin and justice. This is about stirring up and turning out the base. The people doing this don’t care a whit about Martin. He is just a tool in their battle to keep their power.
Martin was chosen because they had a picture of a friendly innocent looking young black man and a scary “white hispanic.” Thus the only way to battle them is to reveal any ugly truths about the lefts latest celeb victim.
The legal system will take care of Zimmerman and determine whether or not a crime appears to have been committed and whether or not a case can be proven against him if a crime is suspected. But that is beside the point in the large political theatre going on here.
Maybe but none was recovered at the scene as reported so far.
We have learned one valuable piece of intel from this mess. Liberals make a moral and legal distinction between hispanics and white hispanics. That info should be especially useful for white hispanics.
