ICE Admits Releasing Accused Illegal Alien Child Rapist (42 Counts!)

Stand With Arizona

We have chronicled Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) outrageous new directives, instantly removing between 300,000 and 1.4 million illegal aliens from the "enforcement priority" list - in effect granting them indefinite amnesty from deportation, without any authorization from Congress whatsoever.

The rationale given for this lawless amnesty from ICE Director John Morton is that he would have a "sustained focus on criminal offenders".

Instead we have chronicled one failure after another by ICE to detain or even keep track of criminal illegals and repeat offenders who present imminent risks to the public - such as Carlos Montano - three times released by ICE after DUIs - who went on to kill a Benedictine nun while drunk driving again in Virginia in 2010.

But ICE has now made a complete mockery of its new "enforcement priorities" by releasing an accused serial child rapist in Cook County, IL: Amado Espinosa-Ramirez, who has been charged with 42 counts of "predatory sexual acts", including children.

After his arrest last August, Espinosa-Ramirez was at the time charged with a 6 counts of sexual assault (the other 35 to be discovered in the weeks to come), and was given a ridiculously low $100,000 bond amount by Circuit Court Judge Maria Kuriakos-Ciesil, of the notorious sanctuary refuge for illegals, Cook County. This meant a $10,000 payment would bail him out of jail - an outrage in itself.

This is happening all the time. Politicians are making it impossible to enforce the law against illegals.

Wake up America.

Time to pull out the irons, get to know your neighbors and police your town. Don’t wait for a cop to help. If somebody doesn’t belong where they are more them along with enthusiasm.

Stand With Arizona —>>PHOENIX (CBS5) - Four undocumented students who were arrested while protesting Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s immigration policies could face deportation
The four adults arrested Tuesday were placed on 24- to 48-hour holds Wednesday during their initial court appearances. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials will use the holds to determine whether the protesters will be deported.Rapists are now harmless

Two juveniles also arrested were released.

Officer James Holmes with the Phoenix Police Department said all six were arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing a thoroughfare.

Holmes said the six arrests consisted of two men, two women and two girls who are minors.

The arrested protesters were identified as Ofelia Sanchez, 18, Hugo Sanchez, 23, Daniela Cruz, 20, Viridiana Hernandez, 20, a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl.

The protest took place outside Trevor Brown High School off 75th Ave. north of Thomas in Phoenix.

Lilly Romo was one of the protesters. Romo is a pre-med major at Grand Canyon University. Romo said protesters wanted to send a message that undocumented students should not have to live in fear of being arrested.

“This society has invested so much in me already that I want to give back,” Romo said. “I don’t want to hide. I want to pay taxes and give everything to the community that has given me everything and embraced me, but I won’t be able to give it back. Because of my undocumented status I am unable to do that.”

At 5 p.m., there were more than 100 people. Many of the protesters were high school and college students.

Some protesters walked onto 75th Ave. to block traffic. Phoenix Police re-routed traffic and left the protesters alone.

The group marched in support of the DREAM Act, a proposal that would pave a path to citizenship for undocumented students.

“I grew up here my whole life,” said undocumented student Brenda Dominguez. “ I feel like I am American, too. I should have the chance to be equal to everyone else.”

One of the targets of Tuesday’s rally was Arpaio, who made national news for his immigration enforcement sweeps across the Valley.

Arpaio told CBS 5 News these students should spend less time targeting him and more time petitioning Congress, which has the power to change federal law.

“It’s a tough situation, this DREAM Act,” said Arpaio. “I do have compassion. I understand their concerns, yet enforcing the law overrides my compassion.”

Immigration and Customs Enforcement released the following statement Wednesday:

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) fully respects the rights of all people to voice their opinion without interference. We recognize that our nation’s broken immigration system requires serious solutions. While we continue to work with Congress to enact reform, ICE is focused on smart, effective immigration enforcement that prioritizes the removal of those who pose a threat to our communities — criminal aliens, recent border crossers and egregious immigration law violators, such as those who have been previously removed from the United States. ICE uses discretion on a case-by-case basis, and has the authority to defer a removal action based on the merits of an individual’s case and a comprehensive review of specific facts.

But rest assured ICE is focused on smart, effective immigration enforcement that prioritizes the removal of those who pose a threat to our communities..Right !!!

If you're in a small community, some of the police may be accommodating in some cases. Perhaps some nightshift squad in my local town (ahem) would deal with something in a special manner if it's warranted. This would (possibly) be defined as a muskrat situation, and could be dealt with in a manner beneficial to everyone involved....except the piece of trash perp.

Of course that would be in a perfect world......

People can only take so much BS...Take a look at this..CHICAGO — The six undocumented immigrants who were arrested last August 17, 2011 were found ‘not guilty’ of all charges. Nadia Sol Ireri Unzueta Carrasco (24), Fanny Lopez-Martinez (22), Jorge Mena (24), Arianna Salgado (19), and Carla Navoa (22) were facing State and City charges of blocking traffic, mob action, and reckless conduct. Cook County Judge Peggy Chiampas declared that the prosecutors had not met their burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and that therefore the protesters were found not guilty of all charges.

“I’m glad that we tested the system, as undocumented youth, and found community support,” said Jorge Mena, a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an organizer with the Immigrant Youth Justice League. “However, Secure Communities is still being enforced and we need to continue bringing attention to how it is putting people into deportation proceedings and tearing families apart,” he added.

The undocumented activists also expressed excitement over the court’s decision, as well as frustration over the length of the proceedings. “While I’m excited that we were found not guilty, I was disappointed at how long the city and the state dragged it out without getting their information straight,” said Mena. His comment is in reference to two separate occasions when police officers did not show up to court to testify, which led to continuances of the trial, as well as several changes and amendments to the charges.

On her part, Lopez-Martinez added, “After 7 months of court dates we won the case! After I heard the judge’s decision I felt that not only our commitment and courage were recognized, but also our movement’s cause,” she explained.

Before announcing her decision, Judge Chiampas stated that she also too came from an immigrant family, and understood the need for people to take actions like these in order to be heard. She also added however, that she believed people have a right to go about their day without protesters blocking the streets. In response, defendant Martinez added, “The choices of her words used to describe our action were confusing, but I’m glad that in the end she was able to see it from our point of view.”

This is the first action of civil disobedience by undocumented immigrants in the history of the U.S. where all participants have been declared ‘not guilty.’ The action took place as a collaboration between the local undocumented immigrant led organizations, the Immigrant Youth Justice League (IYJL), Nuestra Voz, and the Latin@ Youth Action League (L@YAL). The Chicago 6 were represented by Janine Hoft, a lawyer with the People’s Law Office, which has also represented protesters from the Occupy Chicago, and other social justice movements.

Guess what this society has not embraced you and given you everything that you have received willingly.

This community has been forced to give you all that you have received because of idiotic and stupid rulings by unelected judges who choose to overstep their authority and legislate from the bench.

More B.S.: a 'surprise' news update:

PHOENIX – Federal authorities say they won't deport six undocumented immigrants arrested during a Phoenix protest over Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's immigration policies.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Wednesday that they determined that the protesters did not fall under "ICE's enforcement priorities,” which focuses on people with serious criminal records.

But ICE then inexplicably let him go – “released the same day pending a hearing before an immigration judge“.

I think I understand why ICE let him go as I have been faced with the same situation myself on many occasions.

Since the article states he is an illegal alien I will take that at face value. Assuming he had no previous convictions the ICE agent who took him into custody had only two choices. 1) Grant him voluntary departure to Mexico or 2) set him up for a deportation hearing. ICE has no authority to hold him until he goes to trial. ICE must expedite to removal of all removable aliens. Since he has not been convicted of anything, either a voluntary departure or a formal deportation would be meaningless.

Taking either action would remove the perp from the jurisdiction of the court and the consequences of his actions. His illegal status would serve as a free pass and within days he would be in TJ drinking Margaritas and laughing his butt of at the stupid gringos for his good fortune. He could then come back to the US and the we could not prosecute him for any significant time for a reentry after deportation under 8 USC 1326 because be was not deported after a conviction of a felony.

This is the circle jerk of catch 22 laws that ICE agents have to deal with every day. (Thanks you idiots in congress)Sounds to me like the ICE agent in this case decided not to play along with the liberal judge and give this scum a free get out of jail free pass. I would have done the same thing. The judge who issued the joke bond is the villain here not the ICE agent.

I did this dumpster diving job for 25 years. I am glad I am retired.
