And rightly so, Ms. Ackerman, and rightly so.
Mimicking the minority tyranny of the "student revolution" (spawned by the Berkeley student rebellion of 1964), #OWS was always hoping that the actions of a violent, tyrannical few would throw NYU into chaos. And just as in the rest of the left's war on America in the sixties, the intellectually bankrupt faculty aided and abetted these subversive goons.
Scared and rightly concerned about the sexual attacks on girls at #OWS, many NYU students were loathe to go down to the filthy, violent #OWS encampment at Zuccotti Park. And rightly so. I documented on several posts how faculty at NYU urged, cajoled and let students out of class early in order to spark a leftbot student revolution at #OWS like the calls for Student Strikes at NYU back in November.
Well, many students were not having it, nor the threats, the killings, the thousands of arrests, the defecation, rapes, sexual assaults, attacks and stabbings on police, the vicious Jew-hatred.
A family friend (who shall remain anonymous at my discretion) at NYU, a journalism major, was taken to OWS in Zucotti Park this semester with her journalism class.

So the story is journalism student doesn’t t like assignment? I wonder how far her journalism career is going to go if she only takes assignments she likes.
The garbage about this is what “women journalists have to do” is plain sick. My aunt was a newslady from 1958 until her retirement in the eighties and never was asked to do anything like this by her big city newspaper.
This seemed to be more than just “interview a bunch of weirdos.”
I get the idea she was supposed to give them complimentary coverage. As a blow-the-cover-of-this-sick-joke expose’, she could have some fun. Maybe with a few people with her to ensure better safety.
NYU, the leftist Capitalism is evil OWS supporting college that is THE largest real estate owners in New York city. Who regularly destroy small business owners when their lease is up by raising their rents to the stratosphere. Ever been down their lately and wonder why high end fashion stores are popping up all over the place even in litle Italy? How very anti-capitalist anti-greed of NYU.
NYU is a private school. If I was a student attending NYU, I would ask any professor letting off a class early, why I wasnt getting my fricken 50000 dollars worth, and receiving the education I paid for!
Journalists aren’t ordered into a war zone or a riot by their newspapers; they go voluntarily, because that’s the sort of thing that particular reporter likes or specializes in. A journalism student should not be ordered to go into a situation like OWS unless he or she really wants to do so.
That said, this was clearly ideological, because the prof said she didn’t like the student’s attitude to OWS and then sent the girl for mental health “readjustment” at the university’s clinic.
