So the story is journalism student doesn’t t like assignment? I wonder how far her journalism career is going to go if she only takes assignments she likes.

I get the idea she was supposed to give them complimentary coverage. As a blow-the-cover-of-this-sick-joke expose’, she could have some fun. Maybe with a few people with her to ensure better safety.

Journalists aren’t ordered into a war zone or a riot by their newspapers; they go voluntarily, because that’s the sort of thing that particular reporter likes or specializes in. A journalism student should not be ordered to go into a situation like OWS unless he or she really wants to do so.

That said, this was clearly ideological, because the prof said she didn’t like the student’s attitude to OWS and then sent the girl for mental health “readjustment” at the university’s clinic.
