Thank goodness for those among us who remain vigilant against the lies...
Review: Titos War by John Brown, World War II History Magazine, November, 2011, Volume 10, No. 7, pp. 54-61.
Review by Carl Savich
In the November, 2011 issue of the military history magazine "World War II History", published in Herndon, Virginia, an article entitled Titos War by Australian author John Brown purports to chronicle the conflict in Yugoslavia between Draza Mihailovichs Chetnik guerrillas and Josip Broz Titos Communist Partisans during World War II.
This account is fake. It is a phony history of World War II. John Brown makes many factual errors. More importantly, however, are the conceptual errors and misconceptions. He presents an overly simplified and simplistic picture that is selective and biased. He does not examine the complex issues entailed. Moreover, his portrayal of the Communist and Stalinist Partisans is misleading and inaccurate to the point of absurdity and nonsense. His claims that the Partisans took Belgrade in October, 1944 and that they single-handedly drove out the Germans from Yugoslavia are patently ridiculous and absurd. He concedes that whenever the Partisans engaged German troops they barely survived total annihilation. The Partisans never achieved any military successes but focused their attention on taking over Yugoslavia and turning it into a Communist and Stalinist state, a totalitarian dictatorship on the Soviet model. The Partisan offensives were merely bloodbaths to garner PR and propaganda points. The whole conceptual framework or paradigm for his analysis is fake. Not only do his facts lie. His whole conceptual framework is a lie.

False history ping.
Fascinating. Thanks for posting.
You’re welcome. Thank you for appreciating this. The propaganda about Yugoslavia’s Marshal Tito has been so institutionalized that he is truly the teflon dictator.

I have tried to understand why the “West” seems to treat Serbs like they were evil. (and I see NO evidence of that from the ones I have known)
I came to the conclusion that the real issue was that the Serbs were always “nationalists”.
The leftist hate them and the Globalist hate them for this.
We are seeing a convergence of the Left, the Globalist and the Muzzies against the West and against any nation that shows Patriotism and Nationalism.
I applaud Nationalism. The World may be Flat as Friedman said, but he is flat headed. One nation is not the same as another. One culture is not the same as another. One religion is not the same as another.
We are already in the battle but war has not officially been declared. The Serbs understand what that means. They have always been the keepers of the gate.
With all due respect to your ping list;
UNITED STATES CODE
§176. Respect for flag
(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.
Texas, I love your style.
Beautifully and so very accurately said.
“Nationalism” and “Nationalists” are not dirty words. Unfortunately their association with Fascist ideology turned them into pejorative terms.
Nationalists (read: Patriots) are the enemy of Globalists. And don’t ever forget who the ultimate Globalist is. He is the Antichrist.
________
The good thing that came out of the 3 year span was a better understanding of the Serbs and their enemies the Muslims and Croats. An almost understanding of the uneasy truce that Tito seemed to forge. And an understanding of the tragedy of the Yalta Accord. I understand the effect but I still do not understand why it happened. It was more than the obvious weariness of the allies with the war. Yalta sentenced millions to slavery under dictators. Those millions would have been Western Allies, given the chance.
I read several history books about the Balkans. I gained some understanding from reading a biography of Bill Donovan and his involvement there.
And Yes, I remember Bill Clinton's wag the dog episode. I remember but still do not fully understand. Clinton and his bride are both very evil people, with long lasting stains on our culture for their existence.
There are many things in life that I still do not understand. The Serbs treatment is one. And how the Jews in the U.S. can even think about supporting “socialism” after the horror of “National Socialism”. And those same people voted for BHO. How is this possible, have they learned nothing? They are intelligent educated people and they cannot see the danger they and we face.
This is the time we live in.
It represents the solidarity the Serbs have with freedom and the toll they paid in blood fighting for it. With all due respect, the 500 US airman that were rescued by the Serbs who sacrificed their lives to protect them would gladly ignore this.
Fascinating. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you.
Well, I cant agree.
My grandfather was in Tito partisans, and they did fought war against Gemrans.
One of the most fascinating parts of WWII warfare is the warfare of deception. Allies were able feed Germans false information and gauge German response through deciphered Enigma.
Nazis were concerned where the Allies will land in Europe and Allied strategists played on that German uncertainty. Deception plan was created to lure Germans into believing that Allies will land on Adriatic coast in Yugoslavia.
Most likely, Tito was double German/British agent since 1937. Brits gave him a task to create an impression of huge army under his command. Tito's companies were called brigades, brigades were called divisions and Germans fell for it. As a master's touch, Tito's envoys went to Zagreb in March 1943 to meet with German High Command to hatch a cooperation against Allied invasion force when they land. This ensured Germans that Allies will land in Yugoslavia.
As a result, Germans planned operation WEISS to secure Adriatic hinterland. Phase III (WEISS III) objective was to destroy forces of Gen. Mihailovich as the biggest threat. As an additional measure, Germans initiated SCHWARTZ offensive against Partisans in May 15 that lasted until June 15 1943.
During the Schwartz offensive Churchill sent his son Randolph as a personal envoy to Tito(!). Tito almost got caught by Germans waiting for Randolph.
This episode is simply ignored by historians. Why it was necessary to send Randolph, i.e. what kind of message Randolph delivered that Churchill could not trust any other British officer?
After June 15, Germans secured Adriatic hinterland, but, it was in wain. On 9/10 July 1943 Allies landed in Sicily.
Tito was able to deliver fog, he was kept as a fog merchant until he died in 1980.
Gen. Mihailovich was merely soldier and he was doomed from the start. And the Serbs with him. Their biggest crime was to trust Allies.
No wonder that deception continues to the present day. It will continue until there is no one to contest it.
I am not contesting what you say, more factual description is that Germans fought against your grandfather who was in Tito's partisans.
Even according to official Communist propaganda of Tito's time, all major partisan battles with Germans (Uzice,Igman, Kozara, Neretva, Sutjeska, Drvar) were called 7 ENEMY offensives.
There was not a single PARTISAN OFFENSIVE against Germans.
It was a war on German initiative. No wonder, the principal objective of the Partisans was communist revolution, not liberation of the country.
As a matter of fact, Communist Party became interested in fighting Germans only AFTER Hitler's attack on USSR in June 1941. Until then, Communists were friendly with German occupying force while Gen. Mihailovich forces fought against Germans.
Another telltale: Communist propaganda called attack on USSR "Treacherous".

Thanks very much for the ping/posts. BTTT!
Partisans were guerilla wariros, lightly armed and with no classic military training.
Nowhere in Europe partisans/guerillas ever fought offensive actions against germans.
Up until Sremski front in 1945.
But just to tell you about how partisans fought germans, attack on drvar in late 1944 were Nazis tried to capture Tito. Partisans fought nazi paratroopers so hard that almost entire 500th SS parra battalion was whipped out.
Thank you.
