I’ll bet they could draw a corelation between gun owners and racism, too, because all this time I’ve been blaming America’s gun violence on inner city yoots.
Nor single motherhood with poverty.
Nor Socialist educations with low SAT scores.
Nor open borders with gang activity.
But the geniuses at UC Davis, with my tax money, do studies to tell ME that gun owners are more apt to be heavy drinkers?
Liberalism is a waste of money and a failure of the mind to mature.
Or that tenured taxpayer-funded professors at public universities should have a 5% 401K match vs. lifetime pensions and bennies...that would make him drop his copy of Das Kapital.
15 years ago Ohio (one of the states in the study) DID NOT have concealed carry — so anyone (besides law enforcement) who transported a loaded gun in an automobile, for example, was doing so illegally. This only shows that people who break one law (e.g., driving while intoxicated) are more likely to break another, and has nothing to do with legal concealed carry.
Zeko
You have an ‘aresenal’. And not the kind typical media stories have- a .22 and box of ammo.

Or with a gun for that matter, or sending those with guns into battle
It’s like I said earlier in this thread. This is a “study” of concealed weapon carry in the same way that scientists on-the-take from the IPCC “study global warming”.
Davis, Ca is Berkely, Ca writ small......
When Tom MacClintock held his town hall meeting prior to Obamacare, the meeting was attended by about 200 people sporting “Progressive Democrats of America” tee shirts. They had piled out of cars sporting Davis School District parking passes. ( Davis is NOT in Tom’s congressional district nor anywhere close to it)
When questioned about their organization I commented to a couple of “ladies” that any organization having “progressive” in it’s title was sure to be communist in it’s orientation. I was promtly assualted with fists/elbows.
People in Davis are rabidly extreme leftists......all of them!
Not surprized that they are against anyone excersizing their constitutional rights, and that they try to demoguoge
any that do.
Rooster Cogburn would give that princess a heart attack!
Bull cookies.
Wonder what that means about this gun-totting Texan who’s never drunk a drop of alcohol in his lifetime?
Might I suggest you suggest to them that they bring both a suitcase, and an ice chest, as it will take them far longer than they think...
the infowarrior
Nope a collection.. if I get something that is crew served or or indirect fire maybe then its an arsenal
I don’t know of any conservatives who have that tendency. Those who own weapons generally drink less than those who don’t and when they practice with their weapons, nearly always follow an adamant rule that “powder and alcohol don’t mix”.
Liberals I’ve known, on the other hand, who own firearms, think nothing wrong with drinking and carrying a weapon around.
This must be true. I engaged in the risky behavior of transporting my guns, and a case of beer, across a lake one day. Before reaching the other side, the boat somehow capsized, spilling it’s contents.
Well, I did manage to save the remaining beer. Sadly, all the guns were lost.
“Gun owners who carry concealed weapons or have confronted another person with a gun are more than twice as likely to drink heavily as people who do not own guns”
Odd bedmates don’t you think:a category including CCW and drunks who confront others with a gun.
It’s obvious that those who’ve confronted others with a gun are more likely to be heavy drinkers. Drunks do all kinds of dangerous things.
But why include CCW in that category? For one reason only: to tar their reputation with the statistical behavior of drunk gun-toters.
They’ve mixed a few apples with a bunch of eggs and then “proved” statistically how easily apples shatter when dropped.
I could do a study with nuns and male homosexuals in the same group and “prove” how nuns are much more likely to contract AIDS than the general population.
This is apparently a bad physician, who turned his anti-gun hobby into a full time position doing dildo research. Those people he might have been attending as a physician, can feel very fortunate. There is absolutely no evidence to indicate this individual has a lick of sense.
I’m not sure how long the comments would be if we started an analyses of those who were responsible through the years since his graduation for hiring him to work. i would guess “work” had nothing to do with producing anything that had a profit margin.
