When I think of my own dad passing away this past year at 68 and my Mom in 1989 at age 44 I can only marval at the grace Mr. Shriver was shown to live to 95. Godspeed.
Yes, the father of batty Maria Schwartzenegger. His founding the Peace Corps doesn’t do anything for me, but the Shrivers were also founders of the Special Olympics.
A Kennedy in-law, married to one of JFK’s sisters, father-in-law of Arnold Schwarzenegger.
I believe Shriver and his wife had some pretty strong pro-life creds.
I’ll be 45 this year; the Captain will be 75 and OldTax-lady will be 73. I’m grateful to still have both my parents, able to be part of my life and their grandchildren’s.
Sargent Shriver was no Ted Kennedy. I’m sure his family loved and appreciated him.

You are so blessed. I am going to be 44 this friday and first birthdate with no parents. Its so hard but I feel I will manage this grief.
