If neither Fiorina nor DeVore drop out, the conservative vote will be split, and Campbell will win the primary. Campbell is no better than Boxer as Senator.
The recent polling suggests Fiorina is trending downward in support, and would still not beat Campbell if DeVore withdraws.
The trends also suggest that DeVore has a better chance (of the two) to beat Campbell, and subsequently beat Boxer.
As a relative nobody, my opinion carries little or no weight. My switch of support from Fiorina to DeVore does not change my opinion that Sarah Palin is the only effective spokesperson and leader for the conservative movement to reclaim our nation.
She’s Juan McDemocrat’s, D-AZ, ‘ho. She’s following Juan’s orders.
Being on McCain’s team will make a big difference when she makes it to the U.S. Senate. Or, are you ignorant of some realities in the U.S. Senate?
Based on what’s been posted about her on this site over the last several months...yeah, that’ll happen.
I don’t think we want to go where McCain, et al, want to take us.
Go JD!!
Go DeVore!!
God willing, Juan won’t be in the Senate after Jan 2011. Retired by the voters in the GOP Primary Aug 2010. He’s toast. Go JD!
she’d be another soft on many issues and liberal on social issues, screw that we have tried for years the moderate please like us crap and it gave us the most left wing Govt in history.
Mccain hopefully will lose his seat, his RINO gang can all piss off.
A big difference...in advancing the RINO agenda of progressivism, globalism, and fascism over a libertarian conservative, Tea Party, America First agenda!
Or, are you ignorant of some realities in the U.S. Senate?
RINOs will always screw you in the end!
Just say HELL NO to Fiorina, Whitman, Romney, McCain, et al.!
Prior to America's entry into WW-II, lots of corporate Americans were doing business with Hitler's Germany. Once we got dragged into the fray, they had to side with America over our enemy. All of them were forgiven their stupidity and corporate short-sightedness, i.e. Ford Motor Company, for one.
Based on the polling and the reasoning in the above article, Fiorina will never win the Senate. Neither will Campbell.
Why should she? She’s Palin’s choice for the seat.
If McCain goes, I hope Arizona puts Republican J.D. Hayworth in his place.
She is correct, and she has endorsed candidates in congressional, senate, and governor's races across the country. We don't have to agree with, or support, all of her choices for endorsements. We are obligated to participate in our state's primary and general election races, with just as much enthusiasm for our chosen candidates.
I encourage the people of AZ to support JD Hayworth, against Palin's endorsement. I encourage the people of CA to support DeVore, against Palin's endorsement. Neither of these differences I have with Palin's endorsements diminish the overall effect of her nationwide strategy to retake our government from the destructive communist Democrats.
I encourage the people of other states to support their most electable conservative candidates against the Democrats and RINOs. Some of those include Michele Bachmann in WI, Nikki Haley in SC (if she can gain traction), Rubio in FL, and many others.
This is not a spectator sporting event. This is a fight for the life of the nation. The Obama agenda must be stopped, first by a defeat of the Democrat majority in congress in 2010 to stall funding over the next two years; then by a continued push to retake the White Hut, and further defeat congressional Democrats.
In the Senate, the whole bunch needs to be replaced with conservatives, just as Utah removed Bennett from the running in the primary.
I’m on the outside looking in since I’m not from California so maybe I’m missing something. How can Fiorina split the Conservative vote if, as the letter states, neither she nor Campbell are Conservatives and she is trending downward?
Superb letter, Jane. I doubt it will help because she has so much invested in this race, both financially and emotionally, that letting go might prove too difficult. I think if Sarah Palin can be persuaded to see things as you wrote in your letter, then she might be able to convince Fiorina. Why the heck is Sarah supporting Fiorina? I thought she was a solid Reagan Conservative. I don’t understand. Again, terrific letter. Let’s keep a good thought. :)
I'm not in California either, but their Senate race affects all Americans, as do all the Senate races.
Fiorina has more name recognition and money than DeVore. The vast majority of voters, even conservative voters, rely on name recognition and sound bites to cast their ballots.
If Fiorina does win the primary, she will be whacked in the general election for offshoring jobs and being involved in other scandals related to HP.
At the time Sarah endorsed Fiorina, Devore was lagging and dropping in polls and support. Ironically, it was Sarah's endorsement of Fiorina that has brought some additional support to DeVore.
The bottom line is that the California conservatives withheld support from DeVore for too long, until outside endorsements to counteract Campbell and Boxer became necessary.
(OK, quite a stretch on the play on words...)
Let's get DeVore in the Senate!
Pingy.. (FWIW)
