Undeterred by these caveats, however, Mr. Obama will announce imminently a treaty with Russia limiting strategic nuclear weapons. Administration statements (and press leaks) indicate that the new limits on warheads will be below those in the 2002 Treaty of Moscow. There, Russia and America agreed on ceilings of 1,700 to 2,200 operationally deployed strategic nuclear warheads by 2012, with the clear understanding that U.S. warhead holdings would be near the top of that range. The Obama agreement's new limits are said to be 1,500 to 1,675 warheads, meaning that we will face significant reductions - and well before 2012. Even if Russia falls to the bottom of the new range, its reductions will be small compared to ours.
But the positions of the United States and Russia are not parallel, and roughly equivalent warhead limits impair Washington far more than Moscow. America has global commitments to many allies, from NATO to the Pacific, protected by our nuclear umbrella. The range of threats and dangerous contingencies we face, such as from terrorists and rogue states like North Korea and Iran, is substantially greater and more challenging than what confronts Russia, which essentially has no allies to protect. Squeezing down U.S. force levels is therefore not only a prescription for making America weaker, but for making its allies less safe and less confident in our ability to protect them.

A video has surfaced of Presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama talking on his plans for strategic issues such as nuclear weapons and missile defense.
The full text from the video, as released, reads as follows:
Thanks so much for the Caucus4Priorities, for the great work you've been doing. As president, I will end misguided defense policies and stand with Caucus4Priorities in fighting special interests in Washington.
First, I'll stop spending $9 billion a month in Iraq. I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning. And as president I will end it.[i.e. not win it]
Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending.
I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems.
I will not weaponize space.
I will slow our development of future combat systems.
And I will institute an independent "Defense Priorities Board" to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending.
Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert [they are NOT on "hair-trigger alert" now -etl], and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals.
You know where I stand. I've fought for open, ethical and accountable government my entire public life. I don't switch positions or make promises that can't be kept. I don't posture on defense policy and I don't take money from federal lobbyists for powerful defense contractors. As president, my sole priority for defense spending will be protecting the American people. Thanks so much.

China's Growing Military Space Power

GOLDEN, Colorado — A just-released Pentagon report spotlights a growing U.S. military concern that China is developing a multi- dimensional program to limit or prevent the use of space-based assets by its potential adversaries during times of crisis or conflict.
Furthermore, last year's successful test by China of a direct-ascent, anti-satellite (ASAT) weapon to destroy its own defunct weather satellite, the report adds, underscores that country's expansion from the land, air, and sea dimensions of the traditional battlefield into the space and cyber-space domains.
Although China's commercial space program has utility for non- military research, that capability demonstrates space launch and control know-how that have direct military application. Even the Chang'e 1 — the Chinese lunar probe now circling the Moon — is flagged in the report as showcasing China's ability "to conduct complicated space maneuvers — a capability which has broad implications for military counterspace operations."

I just don't get it. What is in it for him?
I think Obama is disarming us on purpose. But why?
Does he really hate Americans that much? What did we do to him or his people that would make him want to hurt us?
Maybe someone is behind him, forcing him to act this way. But he is the President. Why would he be afraid of them?
This guy (Obama) is really dangerous. He isn't that stupid. He is doing this on purpose. He acts out of anger (or fear), not love. Why does he want to harm our country?
What is the simplest definition of someone who requires that the Cross be covered while he’s there?
Out here, we ask the questions. We hold the opinions. And DC is so corrupt, up and down the spectrum, that no one dares breathe a word.
Mark Tapscott in The Washington Examiner, 10/09/09, wrote “A Little Weekend Reading: They still call it Amerika” explaining Obama’s “obsessive alienation and its distempered worldview” re: Marxist ideology. Obama, Ayers, Rev. Wright loathe everything about America, etc. etc.
Yes, they hate America and all it stands for.
But Obama has the power to act on this hatred and to do a lot of damage to the country. That is why he is so dangerous.
He could choose to do the right thing and build his country, but he chooses to do things that he knows will destroy it. Why?
What is behind all of this? Is Obama seeking approval from his "friends" who want America destroyed? Why does he want approval from these kinds of people and not those who love and have faith in America?
I, and others have said it before, Obama, like most liberals/leftists are mentally ill. Some said he has bipolar disorder. Just think, kids made fun of him having a white mother, abandoned by Obama Sr., abandoned by mother and sent back to live with grandparents, drugs/alcohol with CPUSA leader in HI and likely sexual molestation, drugs at Occidental and NY. It seems he never fit in. His stepfather was in rebel military and something happened to Barry there that made his mother send him to HI. He appears to have a vertical scar over his right ear from injury or surgery. He likely had an identity crisis that is why he was open to the Saudi billionaire who mentored the Black Panthers, Dr. Khalid al-Mansour. If that is the case, why did the American people not see it before electing him?
That also makes him more dangerous.
Aside from being out of control, he is vulnerable to being used by others. Evil people know how to exploit the mentally ill for their own purposes.
The question remains: Is Obama trying to personally destroy the country, or is someone else using him to do it? (Or both?)
I forgot to mention the book written by Larry Sinclair about Obama’s homosexuality re: the death of Donald Young who also went to the church in Chicago. It seems his mother was agnostic and maybe his grandparents agnostic or atheist. Communism was part of those he knew. Frank Marshall Davis (CPUSA in HI) left Chicago when the HUAC started asking questions. His closest adviser, Valerie Jarrett, came from communist family associations. If interested in his religious views read “Obama’s Fascinating Interview with Cathleen Falsani” Tues, Nov. 11, 2008 (made Mar 27, 2004 to Chicago Sun Times columnist Falsani). I believe he is Muslim.
He promised those that voted for him something for nothing. The votes he received were because of promised of some for nothing,i.e., free money, free “health care”, free houses. They knew what he was but as long as they were promised that that the government would steal the property of others and give it to them, they did not give a damn about anything else.
I think both his need for fulfillment (his name means Chosen one) which comes from Kenyan ancestors, and the belief pounded into him that America is responsible for his own problems and the world’s troubles, are reinforced by the hatred of those who supported him as a teen and paid for his education. He feels justified (self-righteous) in destroying this nation because nothing is his fault, but he is willing to pay the price to “do the right thing” (as he keeps saying). That is one reason he could not apologize to the police—just pour a beer and move on. He will never stop as long as he lives. As Whittaker Chambers says in “Witness” communists have found the two essential things—a reason to live and a reason to die, and unless our faith in God is stronger than their faith in Man, they will succeed in conquering us. They become experts at deception. They feel superior to the rest of us. They think the world cannot be left to the Divine. They willingly take on the crimes of history in order to regulate every part of our existence. Our health (or lack of it) is one of the keys to controlling us, that is why Obama will not give it up.
That explains why so many people were deceived by him, but they were only deceiving themselves, and the deception cannot last. Eventually, the truth will come out.

Most normal people grow out of their childhood fantasies when they become adults.
Certainly, one who rises to the level of national political office should be able to recognize and discard falsehoods, even when they are propagated by his so-called "friends."
If someone cannot (or refuses to) see the lies that his "friends" are feeding him, he is vulnerable to their continuous influence and manipulation. They have power over him. That is not the type of person I would trust with my national security.
They become experts at deception. They feel superior to the rest of us.
If so, they (people like Obama) are delusional. It is not wise to have them in charge of national security.
Perhaps Obama is a combination of characteristics (delusional, deceptive, mentally unstable, vengeful, easily influenced by America-haters), none of which inspire confidence in his leadership abilities.
