(Vanity) FR Exclusive -- Harry Reid Speaks Out on the Massachusettes Senate Race

In a press conference, Harry Reid (Cadaver-NV) said, “Now I believe myself that the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Defense, and you have to make your own mind as to what the President knows, that this election is lost, and that this campaign (with the President, Senator Kerry (Pussy-MA), SEIU members and false advertisements) is not accomplishing anything according to the enthusiasm in Worcester.”

He added in later remarks, ”As long as we follow the President’s path on health reform, this election is lost, and possibly the 2010 elections themselves, but there is still a chance to change course.”

He was supported in his sentiments by other leading Democrats. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (Botox-CA) said, “When we spoke of choice and competition, we only meant it to apply to Republicans, not Democrats. That applies to health insurance just as much as it does to elections.” Speaking through a medium, the ghost of Ted Kennedy (ex-Camelot - MA) agreed, declaring, “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.” He added that he himself still planned to vote at least twice for Coakley (Loser-MA). “I was the first major Democratic politician to endorse Barack Obama (Messiah-DC) while I was still alive, so the least I can do now that I’ve passed on is continue the fine Chicago tradition of voting while deceased.”

Mary Jo Kopechne had no comment.

Across the aisle, reaction was swift. “I think that we ought to extend voting rights in this election to the historically uninsured, such as undocumented workers,” said John McCain (RINO-AZ). “It is unfair that they should be asked to bear the double burden of having no insurance and not being allowed to vote themselves benefits with other people’s money.” Steve Schmidt (Wanker), the manager for the McCain presidential campaign, who is widely credited with keeping Sarah Palin (PolicyChick-AK) from saving the election for the GOP, agreed. “If only Ms. Palin had kept her mouth shut with that 'Death Panel' tweet, this race would not even have been close. I think this illustrates the importance of keeping outsiders, Teabaggers, and other riff-raff out of the People’s Business.”

Mitt Romney (Mormon-MA) reminded reporters that his statewide health care plan had served as the inspiration for Obamacare, but he was careful to distance himself from it at the same time. "No matter what side of this important issue you are on, I want you to consider me as the kind of public servant who speaks for you."

President Obama, speaking through a teleprompter, said he wished to remain above the fray of petty and divisive squabbles. He announced that he would be leaving on a fact-finding mission to Monte Carlo until the Massachusettes Secretary of State had properly certified Coakley as the winner, regardless of the outcome.

Your timing and satire is/are/be pitch perfect.

Writer33 is on the move, so he may not see it right away. But when he gets a minute to catch up, he’ll appreciate just how good a satire piece this is! :)

Lordy — the tires have fallen off and the axles are disintegrating.

Next up, the engine seizes up!

Great find — thanks for the link!

I haven’t smiled this much since NJ/VA Gubernatorial (and we would have had NY 23 if it wasn’t for gingrich and his ilk).

It ain’t sure but it is looking promising... :)

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
