According to the media we hate, George Bush was a moron for saying, “Nu-cu-lar” (despite the fact that he captained a nu-cu-lar submarine, Jimmy Carter said it the same way).

We’re still waiting to hear how stupid Barack Obama is for mispronouncing “defibrillator” on the Tonight Show. Guess the story was simply lost in the flood of mainstream reportage of the President’s “Special Olympics” quip.

Oddly enough, ...

Defibulator – the definitive treatment necessary to translate the libes told by any Democrat discussing the bail-out bill. Or bills. Or damn near anything else.

Carter never commanded any ship. He served on a diesel-electric sub. He qualified for a command of his own, but before getting one switched to the nuclear program. When his father died he resigned his commission and went home without ever having been assigned to a nuclear sub.

I long for the days of Bush. Bush at least took the job seriously and while sometimes made some big mistakes at least he thought he was doing the right thing in the best interest of the country and its people. Obummer doesnt give a shit about anything but himself and thats as plain as the ears on his face.

Don’t forget his affected, pretentious pronunciation of ‘Pok-ee-ston’. ;)

Yep, he was the Captain of a nucular submarine. (To give him a pass, it’s an extremely common way to say it in the south.)

It is a crying shame most freepers are far too young to remember "Amos'n'Andy*." On that historic radio series ... later TV show ,,,,, character Attorney Algonquin J. Calhoun, whom our POTUS resembles in all too many ways, needed all statements run through a "defibulator,"

* Indeed, if most of the electorate had been old enough, Teleprompter Man wouldn't have stood a chance.

No, he was trained to run a diesel sub, and had trained to be an engineering officer on a nuclear sub, but left the Navy before getting any command or serving on a nuclear sub at all.

Actually, he never used the word "inhaler". It was an "inhalator", which dictionary.com defines to be an apparatus designed to mix carbon dioxide and oxygen, esp. for use in artificial respiration.

Inhalers, of course, are defined by the same source as an apparatus or device used in inhaling medicinal vapors, anesthetics, etc.

I'm so glad Obambi (BIRD!) is such a geneus!!! ;-P

Kind of like how the SR-71 earned it's name, or at least how the myth goes about the naming (designation) of the SR-71.

Do they use the defibrillator on you before or after you take a breathalizer for asthma?

Nope, you are right. He was an officer on board the USS Pomfret (a diesel sub) and was training to be chief engineer on one of the new nuclear subs, but resigned his commission when his father suddenly died.

How about that. The “fact” that he was a sub Captain was just another media fabrication. I have believed that since I was a child and he was President.
