The reason for it to have such a strange look is because it was used later by Russian army to test the influence of Russian alternative to napalm inside of the brick houses.
Due to very high temperature of napalm the bricks started melting just like ice melts in the spring forming the icicles, but those icicles are of red brick.
Cool. Just in time to try out my new monitor.
Exceedingly cool and creepy. Thanks for posting those!
Link doesn’t seem to work. Where is this place and what was it called and used for and when?
FAKE! You just cranked up the settings on Fallout 3 on a rig with high end dual video cards. /jk
Dam, try this one.
I think the Russian characters are messing up the link.
fascinating... melting, dripping bricks.
Good for Resident Evil 5 or whatever the next number is.
Awesome Pics.
I love exploring modern ruins.
Looks like a real life set for DOOM.
Wow.
They placed the fortress near a massive spring.
Ha ha, that was my thought too. THese are pictures from Fallout 3! Almost made me check my Pip Boy 3000 while viewing.
From the footprints in the dust it seems the photographer was the first person to be in that place in a LOOOONG time.
Reminds me of these OLD tunnels my buddy and I discovered that ran all around under the center of our town.
One tunnel led to a boarded up door underneath our local movie theater. Behind the door was a section of of the theater like 70 feet tall totally abandoned and sealed.
It was really cool.
A couple of old dressing rooms with mirrors surrounded with empty light sockets and beer cans from like a hundred years ago. The dust was like an inch thick. There were ladders that ran up the high brick wall into other small rooms.
It was obvious we were the first people back there in a looong time.
Of course my idiot friend blabbed to others, went back, somehow busted into the main theater and stole a bunch of candy.
Then he went back a few days later un-aware of the brand new security system just installed and was caught red-handed by about 5 cops, guns drawn with an arm full of snickers and Reesee’s boxes.
Made the local paper with pics the next day lol.
My Buddie nick was hiding in one of those little rooms high up in the wall and was never found. Lucky SOB.
Are these really Fallout 3 pics?
I have the PC game but only have played about a half hour.
Never mind.
Sometimes it can be hard to tell with digtal pics nowadays.
