No it's not. That's exactly where the blame belongs, I don't care how many posts at this site try to blame everybody else. The hell we are going to have to live with for at least 2 years, and very likely more than that, is the fault of everyone in the GOP who didn't get out yesterday and vote for our party. Their unbelievable arrogance wrought the disaster of last night, and nothing else. My hope is that all conservatives who didn't vote yesterday or voted for a RAT live to regret their vote every day for the next two years. I hope it really hits home hard. I hope you cringe everytime you see a RAT on TV and say to yourself he/she is there because of me. I hope your taxes get raised. I hope the RATs spend and spend on everything they want, except your security, of course. Your unbelievable arrogance and ridiculous tantrums have undermined conservatives for a helluva lot longer than two years. You now think a real Conservative candidate is going to put himself on the line and rely on you, when all they have to do is go to the middle of the road to get elected? Your arrogance and your tantrums undermined the health, wealth, and strength of this country last night. You accomplished nothing more than that. So don't fool yourself. It was a pathetic showing, and I am really ashamed of you.

The shining light of that city on the hill is down to a 25 watt bulb. We have been cowered and brow-beaten by the manic media and PC culture of corruption. A Black won't vote for a Black(Steele), and a conservative won't vote for a conservative (Santorum). Emotion triumphs Thought.
When the populace votes its emotions then apathy and revenge win every time. Political correctness is the anti-cerebrial high of universal equality.
About the only thing America voted to defend in 2006 was its back yard(eminent domain initiatives and rightfully so). Still, I shudder for the world when America shutters its doors and windows, and that shining beacon beckons no more.

Your points are far to reasonable. We are focusing on conspiracies and/or blaming ourselves. Our exalted elected officials are all infallible and their actions could not possibily have caused the reaction in the voting populace. When we win, it is because they are brilliant. When we lose it is because there is something wrong with the voters and/or there is a conspiracy.
