Netflix Sighting: Microsoft Fingerprint Reader Demo

Monkeyboy noticed that Microsoft used Netflix as an example Web site in a Flash-based demo for their fingerprint reader product. This product enables you to log into your Netflix account by running your finger over the pad. Very cool.

This is NOTHING. Chivas Regal has a special keyboard that lets Ted Kennedy log on and order just by breathing on it....

I think I will sue.

It is biased against people who don't have fingerprints.

Yes. Well, actually, the breathalyzer connects to the car from his scuba gear....

And it comes with an easy on/off neck brace too. Isn't technology wonderful?

We've been mulling this over at work to be used for domain logins. It looks promising.......and NO MORE FORGOTTEN PASSWORD CALL ON MONDAY MORNING!!!!!!!!!

But, knowing the users we will still get calls from a couple of users who lost their finger prints over the weekend =)

I think you are closer to the truth than you know. Last week my right index finger met up with Mr. Miter Saw and Mr. Saw took my fingertip away from me. That would make it pretty hard for me to log into an account that used that fingerprint as my password.
