A Disney vacation will now set a family of four back more than $6,000
The hefty price tag comes despite pandemic-related restrictions squeezing some of the magic out of the experience
Firework displays, shows and the iconic character parades have gone
Instead of slashing the prices to make up for the disappointment, costs have continued to climb
Since it reopened in April, Disneyland has focused on premium add-ons like an extra charge on the new Spider-Man ride to ensure a higher score
It is also now offering a $100 supersized sandwich at its new Avengers Campus
The cheapest hotel room in Disneyland in July is $463, with some costing $800
Disney World has increased its ticket prices at roughly double the rate of inflation over the 2010s in an effort to compete with Universal Studios, which opened its Wizarding World of Harry Potter in 2016, according to The Wall Street Journal.
'Disney does not like to lose - not just lose, Disney doesn't even like to compete,' Robert Niles, founder of Theme Park Insider, told Insider.
'Disney wants to dominate its competition.'

I have been to Walt Disney World more times than I care to remember. Many sections have been closed down for remodeling but the only thing that has been abandoned is Discovery Island. That was closed down because of bacteria in the water.
Of course it is their property, same as their customers are bringing their property to the trade. Disney is free to price their services as they see fit. The public is free to laugh at Disney, and trade their property for other forms of entertainment.
Anybody who supports the evil, pedo Disney corporation deserves to be gouged.
Disney is woke. They need to go broke. It’s that simple.
hors d’oeuvres
So let me get this right. To compete with Universal, Disney World INCREASED their prices?
They can keep it now, I have no desire to pay that kind of money. My father took our family there when it first opened in 1972 and it was great and cheap.
That would be almost $300 in today’s money. Still a bargain by today’s standards but not as cheap as you make it sound.

Oops, it feeds 6 to 8 people. Call off the hysteria.
In Deadpool 3 Disney will make Wade Bend-Over

Guess so.Up in the Sky, it’s a Bird, it’s a Plane, it’s DIRTYSECRET!
That’s funny-I like U.

BINGO!
I know there’s Universal Studios but it’s probably a good time for a competitor to build a rival theme park. Grimm’s Fairy Tales Park in Orlando (or nearby city?)
Your kid can get a lap dance at the local library for free.
Just sayin...
I agree.
I made the argument about Masks. If a Private Business decides you have to wear a Mask to enter, you either comply or go elsewhere.
Lots of people here disagree, which is fine. All of us are on the same side of the fence, but we still disagree on many things.
If we didn’t, FR would be as dull as watching Joementia Xiden being spoon fed Tapioca by his Caretaker, the Illiterate Doctor Jill Xiden.
Disneyland was woke 25 years ago when we were raising our children and we never took the kids there.
My grandkids and now great grandkids have done quite well with no Disney in their lives. I shunned anything Disney 30 years ago. Never again will any money of mine go toward any thing Disney.
we’re living in fairyland...
it’s a sick world after all...
My hero Barry Goldwater was against the civil Rights act because it took away your freedom of association. Called a racist those lunch counter protest were not his bag.
When the kids grew up, my wife and I started going to Las Vegas on vacation instead. Cheaper and a lot more fun!
